Scrap that about the chokeathon - Woods just hit a screamer of a 3rd shot to the 18th. 10 foot birdie putt.

Westwood as about a 12 footer to tie as well.

Westwood misses his birdie putt.

Tiger holes his birdie putt.

It's a playoff tomorrow.

Woods naturally gets his.

You really think Rocco's going to win it that easily? I know Tiger's crippled and all, but I still give him a chance.

If Woods pulls this off on one leg tomorrow, they'll have to handicap him somehow next year.

Rocco Mediate has the swing of a weekend hacker, but good luck to him tomorrow. He is gonna need it. He will have not only the might of Tiger to face but the whole gallery as well.

Tiger will outdrive him by 100 yards on every hole bar the par threes but will rely on Tiger doing what he has all week, leaving most of the monster drives in amongst the weeds, tussocks and pine cones.

I don't think he'll be too concerned - going by the TV coverage it is likely to be the first ever one person play off for all the non-Tiger coverage there is.

Aye, a fair call, JGK. You only had to look at the galleries on most days. It was 10 deep on both sides of the tee, fairways and greens for Tiger's group, and crickets chirping beside all the other fairways.

That's the real reason I hate seeing Tiger win. The moment he goes to the lead in a tournament the American networks forget that anyone else is playing. Instead of consistenly following the rounds of ten players we are suddenly left with Tiger and one or two challengers.

I don't need to see Tiger walking, farting, tying his shoe-laces, taking a dump. I want to see Tiger's shots - but I also want to see the shots of other people as well.

Today was no different. When he sunk a four-foot putt to regain the lead on the back nine they showed not one, not two, not three, not four, but five consecutive replays of Tiger's putt.

Do you think they did the same thing either of the times Mediate sunk a putt to take the lead? No. They just cut to Tiger two minutes before he was ready to play his shot.

That's probably because Tiger is arguably the best player golf has ever seen. I would rather watch his shots over and over again than some average player.

After two truly awful shots on the 18th today, he pulled out one of the great shots in Open history. A flop shot from 100 m to within 4 m - out of the rough, sitting in a divot. Farkin unbelievable.

After his 2nd shot at the 18th I thought he would be lucky to make par. But 2 completely amazing shots and he's in the playoff. What a player.
