Um, like most things with a monosyllab like you, I'll have to reiterate. I have no particular allegiance to any party. But the Labour Club seems to be thriving ATM. Not to do with the politics though, it seems.

You should get back to planning how to run johnny foreigner out of your country. Seems you don't take in anything, you quote posts for your next bout of 'blah' and not to reply to them.

I travel from Kent into London. I have to use the train, can't imagine driving there with the annoying traffic and lack of parking. Get's pretty expensive for a monthly pass, around £260+.

Just checked on Google maps the distance betweem my home and workplace and it says around 30 miles.

Need more bait ............

Are Cons and Labour clubs actually that politically entrenched these days? Seems to me they are more to do with a social affair and cheap booze?

There's meetings that go on, certain functions and agendas from the actual parties are raised.

I just go to it because I went there at an early age.

Labour's not really like it used to be, so I don't toe the party line.

Suffice to say, I get invited to less and less meetings.

I'd say, for me, it's mainly about doing things as a community. Mainly getting f*cked.

About 6km trip to work on the bus. Ferry home when I have time.

I'm usually down at my cricket club where there's a better diversity and discussion of politics anyway (local mainly) - AND you can get f**ked at £2.25 a pint!

Aye, just interesting to see what these 'social' clubs are all about. A mate goes to the Legion in his village alot for the 'community' thing. I would have thought that the political clubs would be on the wane really. And those that are staunch tend to be the old duffers in the main I would guess?

I tend to hit the local pub or the cricket club really. Although we don't have the cheap booze (£2.65 a pint of nats p1ss)!
