Well we won the WC which means we can afford to rest players and experiment in the next 12 months.

I would be very surprised if we didn't rotate the bowlers through the series, we have so many tests coming up it's the perfect time to rest quicks in the shorter form of the game, plus he really seems to have earnt a spot on merit anyway.

Speaking of Lee, it looks as if he's lost a bit of pace (He's only averaging around 140 kph), or maybe he's just easing himself back after his injury.

And who's gonna replace Watto? Someone who doesn't twang a hammy in every 2nd game, hopefully.

Couldnt help but laugh when old 'distraught face' limped off today with another injury. He should just give up bowling. It really wont be missed.

FWIW, it was probably the reaction of all Aussies except Banjos, Trev. Clearly he has too much "talent" for his body to cope with.

However, to be fair to Watto, I rolled my eyes before I shook my head and laughed.

If Watto isn't bowling, he certainly isn't in the top 6 in the country for batting.

YT should go to Pak. Given him a good consecutive run up the order.

Erm, when did YT become a better batsman than Watto? Doesn't Watto have a FC average in the 50s and YT is only just into the 40s?

IMHO Watto would be the better bowler AND bat.

Last I checked, YT doesn't crumple like a hooker who's just got punched in the stomach by a fat guy with sores on his face when asked to bowl. He also scores runs in front of the wicket, rather than edges through the slip cordon and fine tickles down the leg side.

Cheers skully, well you know, Aus have so many 'useful' players, they don't need the apparent 'dynamism' an all-rounder brings. This scared ostrich tw@t just walks back into the squad/team when he's comeback from injury for the 100th time. Most people couldn't even get a game ever for Aus or at best very few, this lad's stats justify a place, his playing record for Aus really doesn't.

I think Watto could be an absolute champ . . .if he could overcome the injury problem. Put him aside for 12 months and let him get over the hammy and see how he goes in Shield cricket.

His technique is sound and solid, his bowling can be manful at times. However, barring a few exceptions, I haven't seen a 'top order' player edge the ball so much and unless he's going full tilt(85-88mph) with his bowling, he's very 'hittable'.

If used, I'd 'like' to see him at 6, after an attack has been softened and used in three 5 over bursts of 'shock' a day.
