Copy and Paste job for me. I deliberately tried to steer clear of big names where possible, however:

Stephen Moore - Consistent, dependable, played a big hand for Worcestershire.
Marcus Trescothick - Again, a reliable opener, capable of making big scores regularly.
Will Smith - Has come of age, played some wonderful innings on difficult pitches.
Jacques Rudolph - A lovely, elegant player who has built on an already good reputation.
Ravi Bopara - Made hundreds, big ones, with regularity and looks set for an England future.
Samit Patel - Class among mediocrity, he has played aggressively, attractively - on difficult pitches sometimes.
Matt Prior - Another who has experienced a revival; wonderful, aggressive batting and improved glove-work.
Adil Rashid - A breakthrough after a struggle late last season. Regular wickets, runs. Leg-spin, English-style. Heartening.
Robbie Joseph - Has carried Kent's new-ball attack with consistent wickets in all forms of the game.
Darren Pattinson - Came out of nowhere to obliterate the top order of many a side.
Mark Davies - England's Glenn McGrath; impeccable line and length and wickets all over the place.

English cricketers, FC only:

Moore
Will Smith
Bopara
Trott
Patel
Prior +
Rashid
McLaren (on the cusp of English qualified?)
Woakes
Anderson
Harmison

Chris Woakes is one to keep an eye out for. 45 wickets @ 20, aged 19. Will Smith has impressed me when I've seen him. Like to see him get a Lions gig over the winter. Looks a talent.

Steven Finn and Chris Jordan didn't shine as expected (and predicted by many on here including myself) though. Fickle game.

I tried to get an opinion on McLaren but the thread was hijacked. I think he has at least two years to go before he can play as a pom and SA is trying to win him back but may not have the cash to do it. McLaren said on a documentary that his preference is to represent SA but selection restrictions mean his chances are more limited so he might be forced to play for England.

McCullum must be a chance for that team if they consider tourists.

Trott and Rudolph as former Saffers might also get a berth. Just shows how dim-witted their selectors are.

McCullum is nothing above Prior or Foster.

McLaren for England? Fine, at least he is clearly named after a strong English F1 team.

He's more likely to stay the extra years with Kent to qualify for England because CSA would have to compensate Kent for his services and apparently can't afford to.

I guess money dominates cricket these days in all types of ways.

The character flaws were there for all to see this season - the nervy wait to get his 100th ton, lashing out at a TV cameraman, and his less than inspirational capatincy of Surrey (even if he was standing in for Butcher)

McLaren has never been viewed as an international prospect in SA.

The competition for the bat-a-bit and bowl-a-bit place is a bit fierce: Dimi, Wright, Samit Patel and Swann to name but four.
