The best thing for Indian cricket would be for Tendy to injure his elbow again between now and the next test. They can then concentrate on the game, not the rcords . . .

I've not bothered my ass on the T v L debates - but checking the records ... bar any elbow problems, it will have taken Tendulkar 20 more tests/15 more innings to reach and pass Lara's record of 11,953 runs.

Well done if he achieves it - but hey, I guess if you bat and play, ad infinitum, on dead wickets and predominantly against tosh pie-chuckers from the subcontinent, you're bound to achieve that record ..... eventually.

Sachin is a great scalp but taking his wicket is nowhere near as hard as it was in his glory years. You can't blame White for getting emotional, he's probably playing test cricket by default.
