Congratulations Sachin Tendulakar, Greatest Test Run Scorer
Won't be on line for much longer, but well done to SRT in advance. A well-deserved record to an all-time great.

Aye, I'll second that.
Well played SRT. A great cricketer and a great human being.

Aye, congrats to SRT .... but for all his world records etc ...
SRT is not as brilliant nor benevolent nor charitable as Lara was, is or ever will be.

I've never expressed myself on those threads, mate -
hence my taking this opportunity before the subi's get carried away on their wave of euphoric orgasmal cock whacking.

I think the correct adjective is orgasmic, but I hear you.

Re: Congratulations Sachin Tendulakar, Greatest Test Run Scorer
Am wondering if he has been thinking too much of the record to still not get 170 odd runs needed in last 8 innings? Jeez. Talk about taking one's own time. It's not helping the team, this needless focus on the record by all and sundry. Besides, Punter will anyways be much ahead in the record someday, like in a couple of years. So how big a deal is it?

The best thing for Indian cricket would be for Tendy to injure his elbow again between now and the next test. They can then concentrate on the game, not the rcords . . .

Re: Congratulations Sachin Tendulakar, Greatest Test Run Scorer
I've not bothered my ass on the T v L debates - but checking the records ... bar any elbow problems, it will have taken Tendulkar 20 more tests/15 more innings to reach and pass Lara's record of 11,953 runs.
Well done if he achieves it - but hey, I guess if you bat and play, ad infinitum, on dead wickets and predominantly against tosh pie-chuckers from the subcontinent, you're bound to achieve that record ..... eventually.

YT got a bit emotional in the huddle after getting SRT. He realised the gravity.

I reckon Monty's first wicket as well was Tendulkar. If I remember correctly he too was quite emotional after getting him as his first test wicket.YT got a bit emotional in the huddle after getting SRT

Sachin is a great scalp but taking his wicket is nowhere near as hard as it was in his glory years. You can't blame White for getting emotional, he's probably playing test cricket by default.
Sachin is taking his time getting this record.

Well, maybe Sachin Tendulakar broke the record, but Sachin Tendulkar will have to wait.
Ponting and Kallis will both probably break the record in the next 18 months, mind.

Kallis was an overweight miserable git on the tour of England. He'll be back, mind. Much too good a player to suddenly lose it.
