Are you pretending to find it funny like everyone else?

Song of Ice and Fire is the series. The first book is called "A Game of Thrones".

Like Pickwick Papers? No, I haven't read enough yet to have a solid grasp of the tone.Lara Lara Laughs wrote:Are you pretending to find it funny like everyone else?

Re: What book are you reading at the moment - revisited
I've just started reading "The Wizard of the Nile: The Hunt for Africa's Most Wanted" by Matthew Green.
It's about some lunatic who's going searching for some lunatic so he can ask him some questions about why he's a lunatic, and then himself bullshit the world by talking about how he could 'empathise somewhat with the madman's visions, although he found them completely abhorrent and contrary to his visions and realisations of reality' - a reality that was probably lived out as toff at Oxbridge up until that point.
I may be wrong, and possibly I am casting aspersions on this man's character without knowing anything about him. The fact that I've wanged a fair few quid into his pocket sort of gives me the right to judge him pre-emptively though, given that he won't actually care while he's out spending the moolah. Anyway, I'm reading it because of the madman, who is called Joseph Kony - the head of the deeply religious and spiritual 'Lord's Resistance Army' in Uganda, who essentially go around killing people in the name of God. Like all religious folk basically.
I'll keep you updated as I go along though - firstly about whether or not I'm wrong with many of my guesses, and secondly about the story of one Joseph Kony, lunatic esquire.

Yep, I remember that.
An interesting fact is that one of the Indian climbers who royally screwed up on the north side was a Harbhajan Singh.
