Does anyone else have problems logging in here via FF?

IE and Chrome both work fine, but it seems I am shut out via FF. I even tried changing the PW.No dice.

Odd.

For some reason, if I'm using FF and I have Cricinfo AND FB open together, FB takes forever to refresh. Often it's timed out. And it's only since we've had the score box at the top.
Once I close Cricinfo, FB is fine.

Peter, do you by any chance also have Cricinfo open?

No (to the question) ... but I do have a cricinfo menu/toolbar thingy. Don't think it's that though. .... it has just started to happen (since early-ish yesterday).

FF DOES take longer to load generally, I find (than e.g. IE). I put that down to it being more thorough in spy/ad/malware-checking or whatever.

BTW Thanks to you (furry and Dem both) for a response. Even if it doesn't solve the mystery.

Have you tried switching it off, and then back on again?

I've been using Firefox for the last few months and it's been nothing but smooth and lovely for me.

Not sure it's down to your browser. I remember skully having a problem ages ago which came and went. Don't know what he did to fix it - but he's been spamming the board non-stop ever since.

Firefox tend to open web pages faster than IE and it is relatively secure than IE. Even though Firefox takes longer to start up and run than IE when you start up both programs. You can also get lots of very good addons to go with it to make it suitable for you.

Peter, which version of firefox are you running? Try updating to the latest version.

My Firefox enables me to see your Avatar without that white bikini! Talking about Porn, Firefox pips IE there too. If the site has any dodgy scripts running in it then My Firefox will block it. Peace of mind!

Looks like you are using the latest version. I too had problem with Firefox few months ago in certain sites which use SQL Databases and FF could not cope with it. I just completly uninstalled Firefox, rebooted the PC and reinstalled it again. It sorted my problem. I think mine and probably your problem could be due to version Update for Firefox, ie from version 2. to version 3. rather than a fresh install. Try this method and if you have any important book marks or stored passwords then backup them first.

Also try using multiple browsers such as Opera, Netscape Browser, Avant etc. I use 5 multiple browsers as it helps me with cookies in certain sites.

IE is a heap of crap. It crashes every now and then for no apparant reason. However its legal to have FF and I dont like having legal software.

I'm too lazy to get FF and install it.

Could it be because your non legal copy of Windows can't get any updates from Microsoft updates (Key black listed) so you are stuck with SP2/SP1 and IE6 or IE7 Beta version which causes script errors when you visit flash intensive websites? Very Happy Am I far off?
