Hello World, meet David Warner
0.5 Ntini to Warner, FOUR, Warner goes airborne! He stays in his crease and pulls a short ball from Ntini just over the head of the fielder at mid-on, the ball speeds to the boundary
1.2 Tsotsobe to Warner, FOUR, too full, too straight, Warner leans across and flicks the ball towards the fine leg boundary, no sign of nerves from Warner
2.4 Ntini to Warner, SIX, massive! Ntini drops short and Warne swivels and smashes the ball over deep midwicket, he clears the boundary by a few yards!
2.5 Ntini to Warner, SIX, Warner does it again! Ntini gives him another short one and Warner pulls again, he hits it squarer this time and clears the deep-square leg boundary by a yard or two
2.6 Ntini to Warner, FOUR, edged and four! Warner tries to blast down the ground but gets a thick outside edge past Boucher ... 18 runs off the over ... massive
4.1 Kallis to Warner, FOUR, super timing! Warner waits for the ball just outside off stump and brings his bat down in a flash to cut it through the gap at cover point
4.3 Kallis to Warner, FOUR, down the track and over midwicket! Warner steps out of a short of a length delivery and pulls into the wide open spaces at deep midwicket, Australia reach 50 ...
5.2 Steyn to Warner, SIX, what a shot! That was bowled at 149.8 kmh and Warner merely turned around and helped the ball over the fine-leg boundary with an audacious paddle shot, fine leg was in the circle, Steyn can't believe it
5.3 Steyn to Warner, SIX, 52 off 19 balls! Warner gets there by charging and pulling the short ball high and far over deep midwicket, this guy has awesome hand-eye co-ordination, and terrific bat speed
7.6 Steyn to Warner, FOUR, he can pull, can Warner! He lines up another short ball from Steyn and smashes it towards deep midwicket, the ball falls a few yards short of the boundary
8.4 Botha to Warner, SIX, that's many many rows back! Warner charges Botha, he doesn't get to the pitch but never mind that, he winds up and swings his bat hard to send the ball over the long-on boundary, there's a fielder on the fence too!
10.4 Kallis to Warner, SIX, wind up and whack! Warner gets under a short ball and pulls it so powerfully, that's the biggest six of the day, it's gone miles over square leg, Gilchrist reckons it's 20 rows back
13.1 Ntini to Warner, FOUR, full toss and Warner goes after it! He pulls the ball from outside off into the gap between long on and deep midwicket, super placement and he moves four runs closer to a 100, he needs 10 off 14 to break Gayle's record for the fastest Twenty20 international hundred

Yeah, big hitting, never looked like getting out until the one he was caught on. But the bowling was tres ordinaire.
Good on him, but I didn't get really excited by it.

So how good is Greg Mail if he is keeping Warner out of the NSW Shield team?
Don't bother answering. I already know!

Meh, the game is supposed to be some sort of risk v reward thing. There's farq all risk in slogging in an innings as short as 20 overs.

And you can't see a problem with this in terms of it being a game of skill?

If he made 100, K'OK would have exploded, eclipsing Mark Nicholas' man love for Brett Lee.

Re: Hello World, meet David Warner
AB had a straightforward chance to run him out when he was on about six.
Steyn is a poor bowler outside of tests. Ntini has been bowling pies in ODIs for a long time now. Amazed he still plays the shorter forms of the game.

They do play Aussie Rules there, Jill. Gay cops with handlebar mustaches are obligatory.

What about us?
I did notice the crowd were pants at doing the actions to YMCA. I bet that wouldn't happen at the SCG, would it, meaty?
