In context the McCullum quote did not sound too bad.

Symonds told the hosts: "They're trying to use him (McCullum) as the out because he's a Kiwi.

"Yep, we love to hate them, but he's the lump of s---, sorry, lump of cow dirt, that people are thinking of.

"Now to get away from that, the actual topic is about playing cricket and getting into a final.

"To get yourself to that position and if you haven't brought anybody in, personally, I wouldn't be changing a winning team.

But this:

The fact he seemed confused is sure to raise eyebrows because he is expected to make his comeback from knee surgery in grade cricket on the Gold Coast today.

It does somehow suggest though that immigrants can often be the most ignorant of racists. Either fatuous (Symo) or vicious.

I get the impression Symonds doesn't give a stuff anymore - he's got his IPL contract so he'll be secure financially no matter how his international career goes. Talking of which, is he worth his place anymore, if he's "gone" mentally?

The Aussies were all out Bhajji after Sydney and later clapped gleefully after that Sreesanth incident in IPL. But since then Symonds hasn't been covering himself in glory either and has been going down the slide even faster and for the worse.

Yeah both are qunts, but it looks like Symonds has a penchant for creating trouble and provoking opponents. At the moment he is making Bhajji look like Mother Teresa. Bhajji probably is feeling most vindicated atm.......
