RBS Six Nations 2009 Thread.
England flounce an utter abismal Italian 15 in Twickenham.
Eng 36-11 Italy
Ireland turnover the French in Dublin
Ire 30 - 21 France
Wales play later today at 3pm against Scotland in Edinburgh.
We start as Favourites obviously

At one stage, England must have been a chance of outscoring their cricket counterparts.

When England were leading 30-7 in the rugby, I think we were about 26-7

Well the question needs to be asked. If Italy were abysmal, then why did England only score 36?
Oh, forgot, this isn't played under the new laws.

Swagger after the last WC? Most people were amazed we reached the final given the previous seasons 6 nations. We were about 5th favourites after all...

That's the joy of living in a country of untied kingdoms, English one day, British the next. Though of course being Yorkie always comes first before any country.

Brilliant rampaging gutsy display by Ireland. The Number 8's try was a gem. Weaving, sidestepping and wrong-footing like a winger.

Re: RBS Six Nations 2009 Thread.
I don't hold out much hope for England really. We showed very little after being gifted three early tries by a very poor Italy side, and if they had played a proper scrum-half from the start it might have been a close game. On the evidence of what we've seen so far, England are a bottom half team.DJ_Smerk wrote:Easy Easy Easy.

Personally, England lacked bite, as did we in the last 20 minutes of that game. Luckily for the English, they rode high and mighty on some awful unforced errors by Italy.
Should be a good competitive game. If England can overcome their discrepancies.
