Re: Lahore
attackers were also carrying backpacks apparently .. and have taken over the armoury. So unlimited stash of ammo to play around with.
Re: Lahore
Pakistan will slip completely into anarchy and disintegration unless the people reject the Taliban/Jihaidsts/Militant/ISI nexus. I am afraid only a bloody struggle by the citizens and people to completely overthrow these players at the expense of a large numbers of human life may be well be the need of the hour.
It's getting harder everyday to not feel sorry for the Pakistani civilians.
It is crazy that even as Pak burns from the very elements it once encouraged, the army keeps resorting to firing across the border to allow infiltration of more LeT terrorists, the ones who were involved in last week's week long encounter in Kupwara. It is a shame that the Pak army refuses to see that these fundamentalists are a threat and is still playing a double game of hunting with the hounds [USA/UK/NATO/India] and running with the hares [Taliban/LeT/Jaish etc.]
The Pak army is the biggest culprit here and needs to decide once and for all that Jihadists of all kinds and all forms need to be brought down and the infrastructure they created in this regard, shut down completely.

Pak minister sees Mumbai resemblance in Lahore attack
Islamabad: The attack in Lahore, where a group of armed gunmen took policemen at a training school hostage, bears resemblance to the Mumbai Terror attacks, Pakistan Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik said on Monday.
"This attack is similar to the Mumbai attacks. We do not know who has done it and cannot be sure until we arrest any culprit and investigate further," Malik said.
"This is not an ordinary attack, it is an attack on Pakistan's integrity," he said.
The Minister said there were intelligence reports on March 15-16, when the lawyers' "Long March' was on, that the country could witness terror attacks and the provincial governments were asked to beef up security.
"There was information on March 15-16. We were told some Uzbeks and terrorists had held a meeting and had decided to dispatch attackers to different parts of the country.
"Provincial governments were thereby informed and asked to take preventive measures," he told Dawn News.
At least 20 policemen, including eight officers, have been killed and 70 others injured when a group of heavily armed terrorists stormed a police training centre near the Wagah border and took several hostages on Monday.
The terrorists believed to be around 14 in number targeted the centre on Monday morning, lobbing grenades and firing indiscriminately, before holing up inside the facility.
On the ongoing attack in Lahore, he said the best possible efforts are being made and top officials are present at the spot to tackle the crisis.
"The Director Generals are present along with paramilitary forces on the spot. Punjab police is the most elite force in the country, we are confident they will tackle it," he said.

Re: Lahore
India needs to be very alert. This hijack is very close to our Wagah borders and an escalation of the situation is possible.

Re: Lahore
Condolences to the injured victims and the families of those who have been killed.
this is getting ridiculous but at least this time the culprits will be caught which should help answer several questions.

Re: Lahore
what exactly is being attempted here ? Are they trying to rape him ?
first thought that crossed my mind was that this was what Inzi was doing thesedays after being kept out of IPL.
can't believe that this poor unkept thing is a 'terrorist', looks more like he's been just picked off the streets
faisal, if you are reading this then sorry to say.
the cop in the picture looks to me more like a terrorist than the fellow being pushed around and molested.
