Young england XI
Perhaps not all of these guys are next in line yet, but this is an XI picked purely on talent and potential. Our Ashes 2013 team, perhaps?-
Joe Denly (kent)
Billy Godleman (Middlesex)
Will Smith (c) (Durham)
Samit Patel (Nottinghamshire)
Dawid Malan (Middlesex)
Stephen Davies + (Worcstershire)
Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire)
Adil Rashid (Yorkshire)
Jon Clare (Derbyshire)
Chris Jordan (Surrey)
Steven Finn (Middlesex)
12th man- Maurice Chambers (Essex)
This should really have been the Lions side this winter. There's at least 3 players in that team who I think have the talent to be excellent international cricketers. Most of the Lions players this winter were already well known to the England selectors. Rob Key went on the Lions tour again didn't he? I mean what the f*ck. Everyone knows what he's about. Ridiculous selection.

Yeah, and probably Broad too. And Anderson. And Bell. And Prior. I'm just thinking of players outside the current setup. I don't count Rashid or Parel as being 'in' the setup yet as one has been rejected for being too fat despite his talent, and the oether, they're too scared to give a game.

Re: Young england XI
Crap team - too many fat players, too many Derbyshire players, not enough Saffies, one guy who doesn't know whether he wants to be English or not. And then some posh bloke averaging 30 as captain who has never even captained a team regularly before! Sounds about right for an England team, actually.
There's some talented blokes in there but I personally think Davies, Denly and Finn are way over-rated.

I think Dawid Malan is a potential gem. Not just for his batting. His leg spinners look very promising as well. He just looks a cricketer.

He looks very accomplished for his young age and is probably the most likely pick in the entire side.

You don't rate him? I think it's your cunning plan to reverse woof by not rating any of the young Essex players .... He's not the worst by any means. He's only 21, and bowls around 87-88 mph. I guess the likes of Woakes (Warwickshire), Evans (Middlesex), Newby (Lancashire) and Meaker (Surrey) could be there or there abouts as well.

No, but he's hardly cracked a regular first team place yet. Way too early.
I quite like Malan, but he needs to sort his hair out to become any good.

He just has that 'hint of gayness' that all Saffie blokes have.
World Champions at pass the biscuit.
Or circle-jerk as it's called in the more Yankee vernacular.
Re: Young england XI
Fanie de Villiers and Pat Symcox didn't look extraordinarily gay.
Morph them together with a warthog gene and you'd have Eugene Terreblanche.
And he was nowhere near gay enough to be any way normal. Way too repressed. Dangerously so. South Africa's answer to Ernst Roehm.

He's got no excuse, apparently he's been spending at least half a year here for the last 8 years. He should know by now we don't dig the 80's look anymore

Re: Young england XI
Why would you ruin all of these players' futures by naming them in your XI? What's wrong with you?

Also, no James Taylor? I know he's 2nd division filth but seems pretty talented.
