So, looks like another fruitless chase for around 300 then?
Why didn't the farkin NSP just leave the fearless Phews there? Haddit and Pup clearly have no idea opening up, and Hughes hasn't learnt to be sh!t-scared yet.

Australia need 318 - probably a fairly easy target.

The Aussies have won seven of the eight ODI's they have played in PE, including a few thrillers during the 2003 World Cup.[/i]
So Aus played SA a few time during the WC?
Although I'm sure that at some stage she'll come back and find some way of trying to explain that she was right all along.
Once she's found another Mark Waugh dropped catch to orgasm about.
I'm not holding my breath.

Another spelling error.
I was led to believe that he didn't drop them. It's amazing I even found any, and three in one innings!
Anyway I took that from a report on the web so they misled me but I admit it was wrong. But significantly Australia has won seven out their past eight matches in Port Elizabeth against various opposition so we do have a good record at this venue. And SA has won 15 out of its last 23 so it's not its greatest venue.
Just on Gibbs, I don't think I've been big on the fact that he was nearing the end but I would have thought he's still a risky proposition for their next World Cup campaign. He's a bit of a tease. Maybe once in every series he comes off with a big score but these days he seems to either fail or at best play a neat little cameo more often than not. They lost patience with this modus operandi in the test arena and I'm sure the selectors are still monitoring this trend with his ODI play.

When will the selectors realise that Clarke isn't a JAMODI openers arsehole?
We'd be better off opening with Ponting.

Aussies doing it pretty easily at the moment which won't come as a surprise to Kaspa and co. who thought that SA were a bit short of par during their talk in the break of innings. They felt if Australia played cautiously at first and then accelerated it wasn't too much of an ask.

PMSL at the dumb bint's lack of facts. And she would have us believe on the grounds of some FC examples that Mark Waugh was, in fact, one of the worst slippers in history. What a tragic waste of cricketing space you are, you stoopid cow.taipan wrote:Zat wrote:Classic Red. What a complete misrepresentation yet again. I merely said that he wasn't the best I've seen and that he dropped more catches than people's rose-coloured glasses retrospective vision of him permits them to recall. But I'm used to some posters distorting what I say.

It's not complicated. I just find the whole WOOFING business tedious; I call the game as it transpires. You lot are superstitious.

Clarke bowled. Ponting can barely get bat on ball.
The collapse is on. Saffies by 35 here.
