As i said we are expecting a colapse .
Poor Performance by Pakistan batting. If Murli is back in the next game i dont think pakistan can come back in this series.

Sri Lanka were on fire today. Everything worked. Thushara and Herath were unplayable.
Credit should go to the groundsman. This was a terrific test match pitch.

So good that it ended just after lunch on the 4th day?

Yes. You'd prefer a bore draw ending at stumps on day 5?

No, just saying it can't be that great a pitch if the test finished in just a shde over 3 days.

Most of the dismissals were down to excellent bowling and slightly indifferent batting rather than the pitch.

I am absolutely gob smacked! I never even in my wildest dreams thought SL were going to win this match was really peeved with them till this morning. Just arrived at work and was going to congratulate the Pakistanis and thought just might well as check cricinfo to see by how many wickets they won. Bloody hell......... Hats off to sanga for snatching victory from 3 days of defeat!

That second innings dismissal could spell the end of Salman Butt's test career for the immediate future. Atrocious batting in the circumstances.

Paksters set 167 to win and capitulate like soft cocks.
Exact same scenario when Aussies face a small winning total ... 1981 anybody?!

Henry wrote:If Pakistan can find a decent pair of opening batsmen, they'll have a seriously good team. It's amazing how quickly the fortunes of Pakistani cricket can change. A few months ago, we were wondering if they'd become as bad as Bangladesh. Now I think they'd give any team a run for their money.
That's discounting their penchant for collapses from any position though. You always have to expect the unexpected.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of the Fanie De Villiers test.

Phurt, we had quite a few you could pick from in the 90s. Adelaide 93, Sydney 94, The Oval 97.taipan wrote:skully wrote:Said exactly the same thing to Woody this arvo.Merlin wrote:Paksters set 167 to win and capitulate like soft cocks.
