The Ashes Oracle Empty The Ashes Oracle

Post by LeFromage Wed 08 Jul 2009, 00:06

Bit late in the day to cast my all-seeing eye over the upcoming series, but here's what the spirits are telling me:

Leading run-scorer (Eng/Aus): Strauss/Hussey
Leading wicket-taker (Eng/Aus): Anderson/Clark
Biggest under-achiever (Eng/Aus): Pietersen/Johnson
Biggest over-achiever (Eng/Aus): Prior/Siddle
Retired at the end of the series: Flintoff
Series result: 1-3

Your Oracle's obviously on the blink.

If Bops and Swanny are the best of us, it's going to be a lot worse than 1-3...

Totally barmy Ponting moment: to bat first when it is 22 degrees, cloudy, with the threat of rain for the first day only.

You would have to hope that they did better in the second innings though.

Actually, you're right. I've massively underestimated them - it's five matches, ten innings, 20+ byes per innings: I'm way out.

Stick a 2 on them: Prior (293)/Haddin (275)
