A couple of interesting tables from Howstat
While trying to find the total number of Australian dismissals in Test history, I came across these 2 interesting tables (this will probably look sh!thouse)...
What struck me was the high batting averages and the surprisingly high bowling averages in the top 10 for each discipline.
Only 4 bowlers managing to get under the limbo bar of 28.00 over the past 2 years!! Even Chuck barely scraped into the top 10 with an expensive average of 29.72.
Clear evidence that this is the era of FTBs on FTs.

Indeed taips, and rams home just how farkin out-of-the-tree arse-up that Saffie Home series v Aus was.
I still dunno how we won that series. Hughes was a fluke, as was Midge.

And these two tables sum up Aus at the moment...
Only two Aussies in the Top Test XI (Haddit and Bung FFS) and only one in the JAMODI XI - eek, it's Bung FFS again!!!

I have always said he is better than you give him credit for. If Watson hadn't had all those unfortunate injuries he would be up there too.

He's injured Skulls. I'm an atheist but went down on bended knee to give thanks this morning.

I'm surprised that Sideshow Bob also managed to crack the statistical Top Test XI. How shit is the quality of Test Cricket then???

Rubbish - if that was the case, then Tenducker's name should be in that list.

Re: A couple of interesting tables from Howstat
For completeness, over the same period as the top 10 batting list, SRT made 1706 runs at 51.69 in 20 Tests. Good but nowhere near no.10 on the list.Paul Keating wrote:skully wrote:Clear evidence that this is the era of FTBs on FTs.

Mon-key translation:
A farkin Australian (Strine) Squinty Eyed Nasally Ocker (SENO) qunt. I think the last word is right but happy to be corrected.
Generally seen as a compliment from our English comrades towards a Convict.

Ocker? Yeah, if you like. It just meant 'one' to start off with.
Re: A couple of interesting tables from Howstat
Well, maybe you can adopt Ocker. Gives it a more Aussie feel.

Yeah, why not. I was going to change it to SENQ (a la Holcs) but that'd do me...

StrinoSENO
Really no need for the O to be 'ocker' - it's perfectly understandable what yous'all are by the first 9 letters....
