How much would someone's life have to suck to start cyber-stalking someone across multiple forums? That's really depressing.

Aslong as it doesn't draw this forum into disrepute.

Now Vaughan's climbing into the fray and claiming (in his DT Sports column) that :
"There is no doubt in my mind that they were trying to change the condition of the ball..."
Nice one Vawney, thanks for your Ex Captian's support - you cringeworthy piece of shit!

He's just saying something controversial to save his job because he's such a sh1t commentator and writer.

I don't really have an issue with the Broad one at all. Anderson on the other hand was quite remarkably stupid to do what he did. I doubt he was trying to cheat for the simple reason that he did it in full view of the cameras, not even trying to hide it, but he should have gone to the umpire. It doesn't look great, and it certainly doesn't look bright.

As the previous permanent Captain of the team doesn't Vaughan's comments imply that changing the condition of the ball is/was a regular team tactic?
I hope there are a few sentences missing from Merlo's quote

Yes it does ... however, in typical prima donna fashion, MPV's statement was as quoted, which makes it all the more curious given what he alludes to in the article when referring to his tenure as captain.
I'm not au fait with copying and pasting but here goes ...

No, of course not. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Re: So was Broad ball tampering?
There was nothing in Broad trapping the ball under his foot, as for Anderson that looked very dodgy to say the least, no matter what his intentions were.

Yep. As I say, I doubt he was trying to cheat, because he did it so blatantly. But it was bloody stupid.

That's shocking reading ...an international captain with such little knowledge of the rules is disturbing

Bit chippy taips - i've only seen the incident once. Cronje raked his foot backwards and forwards over the ball according to a post on SS, not the same thing.
Need to see it again to give an opinion - all I'll say atm is if it was tampering it didn't exactly work. How does he know if he's scratching the shiny side or not?
Reading on...

Re: So was Broad ball tampering?
Atherton canes the South Africans about this in his article in the Times. Saying how if they thought it was ball tampering they should have made a complaint, and since they didn't it was nothing more than gamesmanship to cast aspersions. Hard to argue with that.

Yup. Seems there's a bit of a witchhunt to cane Struart Broad for being Stuart Broad at the moment.
Saw Andersons too - couldn't really make anything out either.

One completely unrelated to the two of them having taken a fair few wickets in this series so far?

Re: So was Broad ball tampering?
I've got the SS forum open in another tab - seems we won the Durban test by cheating. There was me thinking Broad got his wickets late on by seaming the ball and Swanneeeeee!! was spinning it rather than swinging it.
