PC/Console games 2010

I know i've done this thread before and a few of you like to 'game' now and again

What's the latest & greatest games I should be getting then? Just finished Resi Evil 5 and Call of Juarez on Xbox360 and working my way through Fallout,Dead Space & GTA4

Play Uncharted 2. 2009 Game of the year. Batman: Arkham Asylum is supposed to be really good too. I haven't played it yet.

But the main game this year is going to be Mass Effect 2.

It'll be hard for it to live up to the hype. It's been in development for what, like 5 years? Same with Gran Turismo 5 but at least they've given details about it (1000+ cars, damage, etc) which at least explain why it's taken ages. Nothing really for Alan Wake.

Sounds a bit too much like Silent Hill

So if someone else had brought this game up and wrote 5 or 6 paragraphs enlightening you about a game, I'm sure you'd be giving it unbridled praise.


Silent Hill? I don't recall there being much brain power involved in those.

But that's the thing smerky, we don't know too much about the game because they haven't given too much information about it.

Really looking forward to Deus Ex 3. But I suspect I will need to get an expensive new graphics card.

Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 as well. That's the reason I bought the damn thing and it's still not out!

Has anyone seen Heavy Rain? Looks pretty cool in that you can die but the story will still continue as another person. There's loads of branch points in the story so there quite a few endings. I might get it once it's cheaper.

Also there's God of War 3 coming out this year. Looks pretty brutal (not in a bad way).

Clamson, if you've got a PS3 i suggest you try out Uncharted 2. Seriously one of the best games i've ever played.

I thought DE2 was still a good game (especially it still had quite a good story), but they did water it down a huge amount for those damn consoles...

The original is probably the best game I've played. Really proves that games can tell a story to rival those of films. And I liked the fact that there were so many ways to approach the same problem. They have a chance with DE3 to put out an all-time classic. The good thing is that consoles are closer to the performance of a PC these days so hopefully they won't have to water it down too much.

I will look it up, but currently I don't have an HDTV. You can play games fine, but panning left/right (but not up/down for some reason) makes things go nauseatingly blurry.

God of War is hilariously brutal. Hope the DM stay the F away!
