Re: SoO Game 2
That's crap & you know it. Walk into any pub in Queensland or New South Wales & the major topic of conversation will be Rugby League.

And walk into any pub in the rest of the country, or most of the rest of the world and it won't even register a ripple. Much like Aussie Rules in two states in this country or the rest of the world. Or American Football outside Seppo Central. Or Gaelic Football outside Ireland.
Leeeeg is a minor sport.

Not the ones Trev goes to
From what I've seen, Leeg is much bigger in Qld than NSW (well Brissie/Syd anyway)
I was in our Chip office last week and SoO was a big deal - everyone talking about, posters of toads sitting on roaches etc. You wouldn't even know the game was on in Syd (that may have had something to do with how bad NSW are). The fact the can't sell out SoO down here and in Bris they do in 30 minutes also speaks volumes.
Note: I do not have a great deal of interest in leeg so my opinion may be more irrelevant than normal

Re: SoO Game 2
What's the rest of the world got to do with it?
You're really clutching at straws now.
This is a thread for those interested in the State of Origin series & the game of Rugby League. You obviously aren't interested in it, so why bother wasting your time & ours by posting on it. I don't bother posting on the Rugby Union thread because I don't like the sport at all.

No, I'm just pointing out that it's not actually the greatest game of all. Except to those lobotomy recipients north of the Tweed.WideWally wrote:What's the rest of the world got to do with it?

I watched the game. Found the fight entertaining. Saw Queensland were far too good. Thought NSW were crap. Of course, if - because I don't agree with your sentiments that it's seemingly worth masturbating about - that means I'm wasting your time, then too farking bad.
Nice to see you resorting to the typical banjo-plucking resaponse of 'what does the rest of the world have to do with it' when I answered your query.

FFS
I posted that comment after the game because it is MY favourite game. Surely that isn't difficult to understand? It just seems ridiculous & very childish that you would feel the need to post something like "* except for several other sports which are better to watch, more widely played, and clearly superior.". Do you visit specialist forums all over the internet telling people on there that they have no right to enjoy their special interest?
I can just imagine you going to an RL game & sitting up in the grandstand mumbling to yourself about how much you hate the sport. If you don't like something, FARK OFF & find something you do like.

Re: SoO Game 2
So you come on a CRICKET forum, populated mostly by CRICKET fans, for whom CRICKET is their favourite game, put up something about how LEEEG is superior, and then expect not banter, then get all shirty and carry on worse than Watto after a Gayle wicket.WideWally wrote:FFS

Ah, now this is more like it. Dummy spits, abuse, name calling, pointless "mine's bigger than yours' arguments.
Excellent work, lads. Keep up the good work.

Re: SoO Game 2
Firstly some background. Back in the sixties when I was a youngster, Brisbane Rugby League matches were broadcast on the radio by George Lovejoy. His catchcry was “Rugby League Football, the greatest game of all” & it became quite famous up here. It was his opinion & I’m sure he never had any goose phoning him up on his radio show debating whether he had any right to say that on the air.
You can google “George Lovejoy” if you like.
Very soon after you began posting all those years ago, it was obvious to me that you were a simpleton with a massive ego. Subsequent events have confirmed that opinion over and over again. I guess there are people like that on every forum but it ruins the forumming experience for me. As a result I had you on ignore on C4. Even on here I have very rarely (if ever) bothered replying to any of your posts. I think it is time that I put you back on ignore. In the future I won’t be replying to any of your posts. Maybe you could do the same.
Deal?

Re: SoO Game 2
Sure, whatever you like, it's a free country.
Which is just as well, becuase turds like you who give overinflated value to their own opinions, and can't seem to acknowledge that any view other than their own has any right to exist do nothing to add to the forum.
All I did was take a little poke at you coming onto a cricket forum and saying that a game was better than cricket. As as you kept responding, I thought I'd wind you up.
So please, do whatever you like. Just make sure you don't run out of crayons.
