The only sure thing is that nobody can agree on anything, and there’s going to be a lot of people kicking up a fuss whatever the eventual outcome.

Tell Europe to go fark itself. The only reason there is an EU is because England bailed it out twice last century(admittedly England didn't have the cleanest hands during big farkup1).

If we want a full Brexit we have to let Northern Ireland go, in the short or longer term - but that’s the last thing the Tories and particularly DUP would ever agree to!

Wired way to unite Ireland, probably symbolic of the whole process.

Probably have to send in troops unless this is seen as an opportunity to fix the thorniest of thorny problems, but yeah can't see anyone telling that to the DUP.

Re: UK politics thread
The shitshow gets ever shittier. What can this Parliament ever possibly agree on?
We now have a PM playing chicken with both hard Leavers and hard Remainers, and a fair chance it will go right down to the wire, as the uncertainty continues to hit markets and jobs. It seems only an extension to the process and a general election could possibly solve it, though the result is most likely to be inconclusive again.

Can you imagine the arguments about the Tory manifesto? It could break the party in two. No bad thing imho.beamer wrote:The shitshow gets ever shittier. What can this Parliament ever possibly agree on?

At least she didn't have to resort to cheap tricks to avoid an embarrassing vote. She's a total moron but I admire her chutzpah.

I reckon May will come out of it all looking good in hindsight. Even if it all falls over tomorrow - she has done her best while qunts on all side throw crap at her. The EU have the UK's nuts in a vice so the current deal will be as good as it gets.

Nath! Ramp it up and wait for the gutless qunts to blink. Europe has enough problems, why not exploit them. She could probably win an election doing the bodices act.

There's more chance of hell freezing over, than the Tories winning an election with May as leader.Bradman wrote:Nath! Ramp it up and wait for the gutless qunts to blink. Europe has enough problems, why not exploit them. She could probably win an election doing the bodices act.

I don't know taking a hard line may work. I'm not a fan but I hate the French and the Germans and can just tolerate Italians. I think it might be the Yorkshire ancestry.
