So, I'm moving to Paddington.
After many years in the suburbs I'm finally moving into the inner city.
Now, there are plenty of good things about the move when it comes to work, relationships, finance etc. But I'm particularly excited about the fact that I can now walk to the SCG from my house!
I think I shall be attending the Sheffield Shield on a regular basis this year.
P.S. Skully, you're in Darlo right, or am I just making that up?

Erm, you are just making it up, Hass. I'm well north of JGK, who is north of the Harbour.
But enjoy the new locale. It'd be grouse being able to stroll down to the the SCG for an arvo's cricket.

Catching the bus to work along Oxford St sh!t* all over the train from Bankstown area. That is worth the move in it self.
Paddo bowls is good. Plus the Fringe bar. Uni and arts college students frequent that place! Oh the memories.

To be fair, having your toenails pulled out with rusty pliers sh!ts all over the train from Bankstown.

Sorry Skully. Some of these ex-ABCer in-jokes get repeated so often it's difficult for me to separate truth from fiction!
JGK. I used to be a member but I let it lapse (in a moment of petulance). I'm back on the waiting list now, but I've still got several years to go.

Hell yeah! Although I have been in the St George district the last few years. The move away from the Bankstown area over to the Illawarra train line was a major improvement in itself. Now I've just gone one better. I can even walk to work now if I'm feeling energetic (it's about 25 minutes to half an hour on foot) and probably will half the time.
I'll have to check out Paddo bowls. My local is now the Green Park Hotel, which is always a good place for some lazy beers. Fringe Bar would be the next closest to my place.

Well if we could talk JGK into joining us after the day's play at one of the many classy locals, it could be an excellent Forum 7 post-mortem.

I could literally petrify woody if I hung him up at Old Mother Shipton's Well. I think he'd like it.

But he'll look good in nothing but a pair of red wellies and a fedora if he takes the duffle coat off.

I'll be in the Surrey (they may just be called something that sounds like Surrey- if so they should have been called Surrey in the first place like everywhere else in the world should be) Hills in Sydney come Jan. Where's that in relation to everywhere?

Surry Hills is quite near to the Sydney Cricket Ground and not far from Hass's new suburban locale of Paddington (to the north of the SCG). Here's a Google Map:
