Don't mention it. By the way, I scrubbed off that graffitti about you AGAIN. Same damn cubicle as last time. Perhaps if you'd just deny it once and for all then people would stop writing it and my job would be a whole lot easier. Better still, get the sheep to deny it too (if she's stopped shaking).Zat wrote:Indeed. I know you couldn't possibly go on the internet while mopping out the lavvies. Nice of you to drop in when your work committments allow.

You're getting me confused with Mudge and Smerk. If you bothered to show up here a bit more often, you wouldn't make such elementary errors.

Sorry, I'm only going by what it said on the door. Off to bed now though. It's freezing here and wife's nice and warm (if not actually woolly).Zat wrote:You're getting me confused with Mudge and Smerk. If you bothered to show up here a bit more often, you wouldn't make such elementary errors.

Well I used to post on the old Channel4 forum (about 2001 ish) and have felt obligated to take a quick peek!!
Sad thing is that I recognise some of those names listed above. I even remember how back in the day GordonInPortsmouth used to argue that if Australia played five bowlers they would become unbeatable!
If only I could remember some useful stuff instead.....

Gordon must have had some sort of conversion then as by the time he stopped coming on here - and for some time before, he was adamant that a four man attack was preferabale.
Welcome (back) by the way

Other assorted memoroies include 'Flintosser', a crazy Indian called Kari-something or other who always went on about BAWL, woofing, a bloke called Jeff, and the Swanny for England campaign (which I was against at the time!!! how wrong i was).

Reminiscing about Karti = good times. I'd completely forgotten about his obsession with BAWL though.
"I said Vaughan wouldn't make a century this series and he only made one so I was right" will always be a favourite memory.

Re: So, which forummers will do a lazarus for the Ashes?
Didn't he also predict a 4-0 series win for India somewhere along the line, and claim that he was 'basically right' when they lost, perhaps 2-1 or similar?
'karticle' may not honour him sufficiently in the glossary. 'kartisian logic' is an oxymoron worthy of inclusion ... and it should have an impenetrable definition which occupies about two pages.
'moral victory' may have been one of Karti's, too. Can any Indian or other forumer confirm?

He had his own ranking system as well.
India was always top.
