Re: Kevin Pietersen - what's the rumpus?
KP has a love affair with Adelaide.
The Aussie attack appears to have played everyone back into form.

Shut up, Red. Don't be ridiculous. "Love affair"
I'm sorry but that's bollocks.
Remember Dyson in 1981? Do you think he has a love affair with headingly?

]Pretty sure Dyson never redeemed himself at Headingly. What you originally said is probably true now at this point and will be even more so if we go on to win, but at the time it was still bollocks I'm afraid Smerkles.DJ_Smerk wrote:Red wrote:KP has a love affair with Adelaide.

Love affair with batting on that pitch.

I don't think i've seen a sweep shot hit harder than the first one KP played against Marcus North the over before lunch. Literally took two seconds to reach the boundary.

In all fairness, it is a glorious spectacle to watch KP in full swing. He's audacious, arrogant, and shows absolutely no respect to opposition bowlers. Especially ones who offer up dollies or air the slightest outside of the corridor.
Easy on the eye. Class.

What was different about this innings was that there were no switch hits or reverse hits. It's as though he's stripped his game back to basics. Whatever he's done, it's working!

Yeah, he didn't try and get too cute.
Having said that, imagine what we'd all be saying now if that attempted slog against Doherty early in his innings yesterday had found a fielder's hands.......

He's a very nervous starter, isn't he? What's all this nonsense about 3-4 Red Bull drinks just before he goes in?

I think that's just a marketing thing. Isn't Red Bull one of his sponsors?

Good innings, but sad that a lot of people here needed him to score on the flattest wicket in the world against an attack even India wouldn't field (which is pretty much as bad as it gets for a top tier team), to remind them of his obvious class.

Cue wall-of-text abuse.
Chivers is a forum comedy villain, Smerky. All scowls, cape and pencil moustache, cocked eyebrow and OTT dastardly plans.
It you don't cottion on to that one, he'll tie you to the railway track and go hur-hur-hur.

That's true Dorrie, India wouldn't have fielded a pace bowler with a test average below 25...
