Rehman is a better version of P Harris, i normally don't like such players but he is alright for now
Ryder gone- very unlucky run out!

I am fairly certain Wahab is clean which is why he is cleared to play while K Akmal, Malik and Kaneria were under investigation( Malik and Kaneria still are)
No, of course dear. And the reporter was wrong about Amir's no balls as well I suppose?
It's suspicious BUT nothing can be said for certain(from that particular action)
It's not looking too good for the suspended three, by the way. Their hearing is underway, and when asked how the player agent knew when the no balls were going to be bowled, Butt said he was "baffled" as to how he knew. Rock solid defence, that.....
Also, Asif said his no ball was "accidental", because Butt had instructed him to bowl a quicker ball.
I dunno why Amir hasn't distanced himself from the other two and played the naive little lamb card.

Wasn't there some sort of suggestion that they had 'evidence' from an earlier tournament as well?
Makes you wonder what exactly the ICC has been doing, other than sitting around sucking off the BCCI and hoping all cricket's other problems will go away.

Massive moment at Hamilton as Chris Martin sits on 97 test runs.

Not as soon as he is out again.

He has almost twice as many wickets as runs in his Test career (190/97). Only Chandrasekhar (242/167) comes close.
Still, with fronting Coldplay and playing up front for Norwich it's not surprising he doesn't have much time to practice his batting.

Fantastic innings so far. Deserves his century.

It's only taken him a little over 10 years so far. Slowest century since, well, probably his former team-mate Mark Richardson in a single innings...

Arnel leaves Martin stranded. Martin carries his bat for a great innings but no century. It's a harsh game sometimes.

Once again Martin stranded when a hundred was a near certainty!
Travesty.

As long as Pakistan aren't all out for less than 75 then he should get a chance to bat again.
Never know with those wacky Paksters though...

What will Chris Martin achieve first- 100 test runs? Or 200 test wickets?
I reckon the runs.

How many more tests does he have left in him?
At 36 his bowling isn't exactly express, and whilst his batting is useful...
He might get neither 200 wickets or 100 runs. Would be amazing if he did the allrounders double though.

He just seems to keep going, probably because NZ cricket isn't exactly full of options. Reliable opening bowler, never that quick but if pace was never your main weapon I suppose you can go on longer.
Of course he will always be more remembered as Test cricket's all time greatest rabbit than for picking up a couple of hundred wickets...

It's just a strange feature of cricket that some players even at the top level have to do something they're really crap at. It doesn't even work the other way round, as batsmen who are really bad at bowling never have to deliver a ball, unless perhaps it's joke bowling to prompt a declaration.vilkrang wrote:He has 97 more test match runs than either of us. Can you imagine football where every player has to take his turn in goal? Rugby where the little winger or scrum half has to play front row for 10 minutes? American football where your 20-stone linebacker has to have a go at playing quarterback? Not sure if there's anything similar in major sport, don't really know baseball but think the pitchers perhaps have to bat sometimes?
