Leading wicket taker in the Bash, 3rd best average of anyone who has taken more than 5 wickets, 5th best economy of bowlers who've bowled more than 10 overs, 2nd best s/r of the 10 overs+ club.
He's gone pretty well in what I'd say was his weakest format.

He's been bowling a lot of sliders and flippers in this form of the game. Flighted and turned a few last night.

Stoopid Spivs stinkin' up the joint v Banjos at ANZ. They are in the Final regardless but on this ANZ form are probably better off playing away.

Good to see the Qbillies doing their best to give the Tossies a home semi.

This Hopes kiddy goes OK. Takes wickets, bats well. Tell me about him. Any chance he could get a run in the Aus one-day squads? Or did he f@rt in Hildick's mouth?

Cheers Nath.

Re: Australian State Cricket 2010/11 (II)
News is that both Cossie & Rana will be fit to play...yet to be confirmed though
Re: Australian State Cricket 2010/11 (II)
Just about to head up to Bellerive for the 20/20 semi v NSW but its not looking too good. Plenty of Rain & Thunder about. If the game is washed out then Tassie proceed to the final as they finished two points clear of the Spivs. It will be a bummer if there is no play though as they were expecting a 10,000 + crowd.
Re: Australian State Cricket 2010/11 (II)
Don't give up hope BD, they can still have a 'match' with five overs per side.

From cricinfo:
7.15pm - We have had the toss. George Bailey has won the toss and Tasmania will bat first. The game will begin at 7.30pm local time. It is now a 17-over-per-side fixture. The winner will play in Saturday's final in Adelaid and will qualify for the Champions League. Twelve out of 18 teams batting first in this years Big Bash have won.
The match is 17 overs per side. Still a maximum of 4 overs per bowler. Powerplay is reduced to 5 overs from 6.

The old man gets the better of the fat man:
0.3 Clark to Cosgrove, OUT, Bowled him! Chopped on. Great length from Clark, nips back off the seam, Cosgrove tried to late cut to third man, it was too close and it ricocheted onto the stumps from the bottom edge.

FMD, just realised that Stuart Clark's List A T20 career economy rate is less than 6rpo over 21 matches.

You just know Cummins is going to break down with stress fractures in the next few weeks.
3.5
Cummins to Cowan, OUT, Bowled him! 146kph full and straight, Cowan plays around it and loses his off stump! What a start by the 17-year-old.
EJM Cowan b Cummins 4 (4b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100.00
3.1
Cummins to Lockyear, OUT, Caught! Oh dear. Lockyear got a length ball on off stump, 147kph, Lockyear cleared the front leg and hit it head high straight to mid off, Thornely held a comfortable catch infront of his eyes.
RJG Lockyear c Thornely b Cummins 2 (8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25.00
