At least she was dressed.
Podge didn't do his international prospects any harm playing for the Vix btw: the NSP must have been impressed.

To celebrate his call up to Australia's ODI side , Shaun Marsh...........gets injured. From cricinfo-
"Marsh showing some visible pain from his injury now, having to release the bat from his grip as he played through his last shot. The collar bone clearly not comfortable"

Very tidy knock from Bog. Something like 94* off 59 balls to get the Wozzies home easy v Vile Vomits. If he hasn't separated his shoulder (fluffed a diving outfield catch) then he should be the natural successor to Paris in the Aus Gilly squad.

Well he's been called up for the rest of the current series with England, which would suggest that he's considered the next in line if Hussey is ruled out.

Seriously amazing catch by Bravo. Best natural athlete in cricket at the moment IMHO. Pity his batting and bowling appear to have turned carp.

Tozzies get 152 in the T20 v Dubbers.
Strange that Cossie batted at 6 and therefore only faced 9 balls.

Re: Australian State Cricket 2010/11 (II)
I watched the last over of the Tassie innings. I'm amazed that no-one ever suggests Cossie to open in tests for Australia. They could have him field at short leg & would then only need a fine leg & mid-on on the legside because nothing could get past the Sozzie/Tozzie superstar.
I guess the only concern would be that Watto would run Cossie out every time they batted together.

Cossie told the selectors to go fark 'emselves after they nagged him to lose weight again. Ergo, Cossie has files marked BITCH (Banned In The Class of Hodge).

Surely they could find a possie for the Sozzie/Tozzie Cossie? Or should be become a Wozzie?

I'm with ya, Wally. Get him to swing lustily but not bother running as opener, and then park him at very short cover with instructions not to move, under any circumstances. The folds of skin will a) protect him and b) create catches by the ball lodging in said folds.

The perfect short cover. And put one at short midwicket and you'd cut off half the scoring avenues in T20 and T50.

Yay
A win by two runs. Should'nt have been that close but some utter carp calls from the Umpires kept the dubbers in the game..
Re: Australian State Cricket 2010/11 (II)
Crap batting again by NSW to leave so many wickets in the shed chasing a small target.

Re: Australian State Cricket 2010/11 (II)
I think you've found the way for Australia to remain a power in short-form cricket. Twenty-Fifty. We bowl for twenty overs, then bat for 50.skully wrote:The perfect short cover. And put one at short midwicket and you'd cut off half the scoring avenues in T20 and T50.
Of course, if our bowling for those 20 overs consists of Tait, Midge and Lee, we could still struggle to chase the total...
