If Yardy is the answer, then it was a stupid question.

Are the Pommies new comedians in world cricket?
Now it looks like Piyush Chawla is the new comedian. From 44 off 14 overs he helped the giantkilling Irish to 78 off 18.

He hardly even bowls for Sussex except in T20s. A huge mis-judgement from Flower and Strauss to think that he can do the job in ODIs for England.

Well India elected to bowl and are now threatening to allow the Irish a full run of 50 overs at batting.

du Plessis run out - 124/5. What's that faint gurgling noise I can hear?

Now du Plessis run out!
South Africa still favourites, though.

Welly well well, Pomgolians on the fight back with a double strike. Pity they haven't got another 10 overs from a Swanny-class bowler to come.

The ball is reverse swinging, but the ball change is coming up. Jimmy really needs a wicket in this over.

Re: World Cup 2011 (II)
England have an amazing ability to do half a job really well. I'm sure this really suits Strauss when he 'looks for the positives' after we've lost. It's incredible, really. We bat really well every time the bowling's sh!t, then when the batsmen return the favour, we're perfectly happy to get our bowling and fielding shoes on and turn in a performance. I think from now on we should keep the bowlers and batsmen separate from each other and just tell the other at the innings break that the guys before them were total sh*t. Then we'll win the World Cup. Not.
Anyways, South Africa not that impressive. Ireland mashed us better than this. Ireland to win the World Cup. Shoo-ins.

WTF??? That was inconclusive. Should have remained the on-field Umpire's call. FFS.

Justice!!! Duminy was definitely out down the leg side but Ashoker couldn't decide, and now Jimmy takes out his off stump. Game on!!!

The Saffies have quite a long tail. Peterson can bat a bit, but then it's the bowlers.....who will probably get them home. Morne Morkel will suddenly start playing like Graeme Pollock.

FFS, just got up and saw the score, didn't know what time it started today so assumed SA were batting first and that we were doing brilliantly, then saw what score we got.
Seriously, FFS.

That might be a plan actually, I'd forgotten the part I played in us losing against Ireland, watched that entire match, whereas I missed the Holland one.Henry wrote:vilkrang wrote:FFS, just got up and saw the score, didn't know what time it started today so assumed SA were batting first and that we were doing brilliantly, then saw what score we got.

Swann bowling like God. Could have taken 6 wickets on another day.
