World Cup Final Pool
Ok...here's your chance to grab some forum cred by predicting the winner (and by how much).
The closest wins the plate of virtual Iced VoVo's.

Re: World Cup Final Pool
My pick is India by 48 runs or three wickets with 3 overs to spare.

Re: World Cup Final Pool
What if India bats second, and can therefore only win by wickets?

Good call JGK. We'll allow either or...
After all...a plate of iced VoVo's is not to be sneezed at.

Re: World Cup Final Pool
SL are due to bat first, but I'll hedge. India by 56 runs or 5 wickets with 3.4 overs remaining.

Always back the home side. Especially when Iced VoVos are in the mix. Even if you haven't the slightest idea what they are. And the pictures look like used cardboard sanitary towels.
India by four wickets/39 runs.

Re: World Cup Final Pool
Good idea Jay, seeing as the home team has never won a WC.

Pfft. History. It's for chin-strokers and ball-fondlers who are too scared to live in the here and now.

Philistine.
Iced Vovos are grouse. A biscuit with two strips of icing and a strip of jam in the middle covered in coconut. Yummy gear. A bit like cocnut ice on a biscuit. An Aussie classic.

I remember them from my childhood. Just didn't know they were called Iced Vovos. Just called them 'biscuits with pink sponge and jam in the middle'.
Think my version is catchier.

Sorry. I meant they look like used cardboard sanitary towels and dandruff.
Re: World Cup Final Pool
Mmmm, used tampons with sugar and coconut sprinkles on them. A buck's night staple.
