The first being staring really intently at it in the hope of psyching it out.

None of these things worked. In fact, I may have been on the receiving end of a psyche out, given that it's winning and I'm losing.

Take it out to the movies, treat it to dinner at the Ritz and a good show. Cats or something. Actually not Cats. A good show. Mamma Mia. Call a cab, take it home. Some nice Wine. A good South American. Or Californian. Show it the night its always really craved.

If that doesn't work then shoot the stubborn little sh!t.

That sounds more expensive than just getting in a guy to smash it with a hammer. I mean, if that doesn't fix it, I can't see what else would.

Don't blame others for your own incompetence at handling your own PC.

Nevertheless if the thing won't turn on, check if the CPU lights work. That means power source is on inside.Check if your monitor lights work. If it does than the problem lies with your motherboard or hard disk. Now check if they are in warranty. If the display is working and you see a blue screen it's your RAM or your graphics card [if you have any installed].

My computer was ****** for a while last year. A virus infected it and it cost me $A600 to get if fixed.
