Add Barath and Fidel to that list too. It's too depressing for words.

great start for the WI with the ball, too much pace and bounce for the openers.

Lets take out bowled and caught while we are about it.
Or another step forward. Maybe each batsman should be given 3 chances to hit the ball.
I'm sure there's a space for a game like that.

So with the Paksters at 7-148 the Windies had a chance. But you can't expect to win too many games with a total of 177.

The one bright spot for the Windies is Bishoo. He looks like an excellent young leggie.

Unfortunately Sammy needs to be dropped( seems like a top guy BUT not good enough for international cricket)

The trio of Afridi, Waqar and Misbah have done a very fine job in the last 6-7 months. I am quite satisfied with the team's performance now, unfortunately the seniors didn't handle the pressure of the WC semi too well or things could have been EVEN better.

Meanwhile, Crystal is belting runs at a strike rate of 200 and taking wickets for Bangalore in the IPL. Tragic really.

So has Crystal officially cut ties with Windies cricket?

Isn't Gayle's argument that the Windies selectors gave him no indication that they wanted to pick him to play against Pakistan, so assuming he wasn't going to get picked, and not having a WICB contract, he signed to play in the IPL instead?
I wish the Windies would wake the f*ck up and sort out their problems.

Aye. Windies admin have no farquin clue, and never have. Their team excelled through late 70, 80s and early 90's in spite of the woeful administration. Too much ganja at Board meetings.

Perhaps the only solution is for them to break away and play as separate countries. Barbados, Jamaica and T&T could probably field half decent test teams. And they'd be playing with a lot more pride knowing they're representing their Country rather than their region.

Rain helps WI to score a win, i hope this will make the remainder of the series a little more EXCITING.

I personally prefer test matches but i have a feeling that this upcoming series will be very boring.

What a surprise. Paksters fall in a heap on a road in a meaningless game. And no-one is asking questions? FMD.

I expect some people don't equate a couple of no balls from a couple of bowlers to the entire team, whoever is playing in it, to be purposefully underperforming. But there. We. Go.

why is this thread unrikkied? The important part of this series hasn't started yet ...
