WI v Pak Test series in Caribbean, May 2011

Hello Everyone

Given the lack of traffic at the moment, perhaps this thread can be used for the Test series between WI and Pak which start on May 12.

We hope so. It may at least give us sumpent to talk about.

Five years ago, a West Indies v Pakistan test match would have resulted in at least four pages of posts.

Gash. Windies acting dreaded. Good bowling by Ajmal admittedly. But just all kinds of wrong. As Wally said, they look pretty light on bowling. But if they can utitlise it well, it could end up being a good Test. Low scoring ones usually are. Now Sammy just got out on the tonk. Idiot.

Ajmal is possibly the most skillful bowler in the world.

Even in the World cup Ajmal didn't get all the games and the field placement were terrible.

Yeah, you're probably right. Being there's a little more of a 'flex', it's a little easier to pick from the TV, but not many have been able to pick it. It rips too. It's good viewing, really - it's very attacking from round the wicket.

Ajmal - meh.

Even with a soft Pak side, I can't see this WI team take 20 wickets. But then, this is Pakistan...

I rate him more than I do Bhajji.

For me it depends what sort of inroads Roach and Rampaul can make. Don't think Pak fancy pace much, at all. Bishoo will most likely be under pressure from the off.

Hmm, seems Ajmal gave the Windies plenty of trouble.

I tried out a few off-spinners recently after a year or so in a game among friends, and currently, I think I rate myself more than I do Bhajji.

Don't rate Rampaul much tbh. So Roach is basically on his own in the pace front for me (Sammy FFS). Hopefully Bishoo plays well, looked decent in the WC.
