ACtually, I won't be too upset if the final is in Melbourne. If it at the SCG, the Saints v Tigers match will be moved from the SCG (where I am a member and can get 4 tix) to the SFS where I am not.

Serves the stoopid Tigers right for not moving the game. Our quotient won't be good enough anyway.

Won't matter if the Barrels somehow stop the Spivs winning outright (Sydney weather has been dodgy all summer). Viles have just about sown up an outright.

I'm off to watch the V8 Supercars. Hopefully the Spivs can rip out most of the Barrels this arvo. I'll be back if the stinking Fords get in front!!!

Stoopid Holdens couldn't even manage a top 3 in race 2. Farkin jallopies.

At least the Spivs have broken through while I've been harumphing about the V8s.

Barrels 4-71, still 294 in arrears. Cameron has 3. Man, he and Bubbles have been the Spiv finds of the season.

Stoopid Banjos still 8 behind with just 4 2nd innings wickets in hand. Vile bowlers sharing the spoils.

Fleas must think Casson is tired from his 99. 32 overs in and he's yet to get a bowl.

NSW win outright by an innings, and will host the final. Vics puttering along in chasing the 75 needed for the outright. Currently 2/33

All over, Spivs win by lots. Eggs 4 wickets to go with his 99.

Spivs team for the final should be something like:

Hughes
Forrest
Khawaja
Katich
Clarke
Thornley
Haddin
Lee
Bracken
Clark
MacGill/Eggs

Indeed. Froggy will probably get a run. Smile They won't play Casson AND Magoo given that they only need a draw.

Vixen currently 4/39 chasing 75.

MYTYT steers us home.

Likely team for the final: Jewell, Quiney, Hodge, Hussey, YT, McDonald, Crosthwaite, Harwood, McGain, Nannes, Siddle

The middle order is performing well but we're still having problems with the openers. Jewell has been average this season and his partners have been even worse.

Denton is back playing grade cricket but I guess he isn't fit enough for a full FC match. McKay is unlucky to miss out too.

I'd pick McKay over Siddle. Don't like the thoughts of gambling on the fitness of Harwood and Siddle in a final.

If we only risked one of Harwood and Siddle I'd prefer it be the latter. We need 20 wickets and Siddle is a wicket-taker.

Looking at the Vic team you can't help but wonder how the hell it got to a PC final. No openers, about 23 fast bowlers who take it in turns to be fit, can't decide on a keeper. Hussey should be batting 3 (prob too late to make the switch now), Hodge is struggling and might even sign up for the Ron Tandberg XI alongside Jimmy Meagre and Kaspa and Dizzy and Diva and co at season's end, in fact take the non-wicket-taking 'all-rounders' Cam and Ronnie out of that crowd (and they've both been on the sidelines this season) and they'd struggle to make 150 without Hussey kicking in a ton.

They'll have done well to make Froggy and Katich pad up twice.

A fair call. After Cameron's great season, I'd play him instead of Casson (which is harsh given his 99 and 4 2nd innings wickets when MacDill was struggling to break through). Pretty strong looking Spiv side.

If the guy's shoulder's about to go west he's not worth the risk. What about the liability he'd be in the field?

Stoopid CA site is obviously run by Vomits. Barrels still stuck on 5-166 in the detailed score page. Casson ripped out the last 4 in quick time.

It's good to be a Dubber. Very Happy

Casson was the Next Big Thing for about ten minutes about five years ago when he was still playing for WA, and he's playing well now. Is he any chance for Oz next summer?

It is now. Casson took wickets in each of his last 3 overs. What happened to Cullen to stop him batting?
