given every 2nd book on that site seems to have been written, launched or reviewed by George Pell one wonders at the leaps in faith offered by the 'science'

Idiot. Your side of politics had the same policy not long ago. Your hero, LJH, believes in it.

Probably one of the more reasonable opinions expressed on this debate. Selling them uranium would achieve both goals. Unfortch not likely to happen whilst QLD is under the thumb of the coal sector.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (II)
A couple of years ago I went to a dinner put on by the airconditioning industry in WA.
The guest speaker talked about the changes needed to make airconditioning (and the world generally) 'more carbon footprint friendly' ....given the number of revenue generating opportunities he gave from extra consultancies , re-designs , carbon trading etc ... then the Libs should be pushing the Climate Change barrow from that side and the Watermelons should be pushing it from the save the planet side and they should meet in the middle ...unfortunately somebody hasnt put it to Abbott in those terms

Exactly right mb. And if our businesses start doing it first then we will have a great advantage in terms of skills when the rest of the world follows suit.

As the weather is for sh!t all over the country it's probably six of one and half a dozen of the other. This time of the year the Sunshine Coast is probably like home anyway with the number of mexicans soaking up what they believe is decent weather.

Nah! It was a local program. I've given up on Delroy's. Great program but I either get in too early or after shouting at the radio whilst 'morons' can't answer obvious questions I get hit with something I know SFA about. (Thus a moron I spose)
