And the Aussies proved in Cape Town they are masters against the moving ball?
Honestly, the ball didn't do much today. Was pretty good for batting when the ball was between 30 and 80 overs old. Also Steyn and Tahir weren't at their best. Aus played extremely well, mind.
And England chased down around 300 at the Wanderers in 2004, didn't they?
Come on man, we're not ranked number 1 in the World because we've flat track bullied teams every time. There's been some dicey situations that we've got ourselves out of through technically sound batting from the likes of Cook and Trott.
In 2004? When Andrew Strauss was good and no-one else was in the side.
Yeah, maybe you're right... I'm just going on Perth, a good proportion of the Pakistan home tour, a good proportion of the SA away tour, Headingley... pretty much the only times in the last three years that there were bowling sides worth their salt in adverse batting conditions and we melted like cheese under the grill almost every time, in terms of posting a score.
Re: South Africa v Australia, 2nd Test, Johannesburg, 17-21 November, 2011
I've not had time to forum or even read the forum atm, but just saw the score and thought i'd come on and give a 'test cricket is grouse' shoutout.

I think EVERY team struggles against the moving ball these days. England probably less so, though. Our players are brought up in seaming and swinging conditions and don't go as hard at the ball as the Aussies, Saffies, and Indians do.

Personally I prefer 20:20s. They could have played at least 10 games in the time this Test took place, results guaranteed almost every time, runs and wickets aplenty, what fun.

Dunno. Brave decision. Half a ball width from being a great decision.

Yeah, they're all pretty gash. I just think that would've been beyond us for some reason. I should really be praising such shitheaps as the other three teams... at least we can turn teams over. The other three are all kinds of inept. Shitwads, if you will.
Re: South Africa v Australia, 2nd Test, Johannesburg, 17-21 November, 2011
I thought it was a bit TOO brave from Smith, seeing as they needed 4 to win and Tahir serves up at least one 4 ball an over.
Steyn was the disappointment for me. Lost patience at one stage shortly after Haddin and Johnson came together. Resorted to a bouncer, yorker strategy and Aus got away after tea.

How long since the flower boys won a series at home? Last I remember was against Bangladesh, a worthy opponent.

I reckon it was them, Shammy sham sham Shamlal. Bangladesh. Horrendously underachieving record, SA recently.
Re: South Africa v Australia, 2nd Test, Johannesburg, 17-21 November, 2011
Since they jetted off to play India in Feb 2010, they've won 5/12 Tests, mainly agaisnt sh!thouse. Shocker, IMO. What a bunch of clowns.
Re: South Africa v Australia, 2nd Test, Johannesburg, 17-21 November, 2011
I'm surprised they were still ranked number 2 at the start of this series, to be honest. Can't remember them beating a top 4 side at home since......well, a long time. They've dropped down to number 3 now.
They've always been a much better team on paper than what they actually produce on the field. I mean, look at them on paper compared to the Aus team. Should have been a f*cking cakewalk for them. You wonder if the likes of Kallis, Smith, Boucher and Steyn are the 'golden generation' that never quite achieved what they should have and whether the younger talent coming through will be anything like as good.
They could be stuck in mid-table for a few years. Smith looks past his use by date as a Captain. Time to give Amla or AB the job.
Sincerely, Red.

Smith and his flowery boys won't admit it but they're just glad the series had 2 matches.

Mark Boucher wont admit it, but he got back to the change rooms and found liquid pooh all through his jocks. He's currently hiding in the toilets, sobbing, too scared to come out.

Yeah, weakos, eh?
A little bit like.... hmmmm... you? One of the biggest mental weaklings going, aren't you?
You came here all cowboy trolling with a 'yiiss.. we's numbers 1's in the worlds and sh!t yih? Ye's gonna get all f*cked like'... then we smashed India so badly that they could've been the butt of one of your hilarious mum/sister/wife jokes and where were you? Absolutely f*cking nowhere.
You're a joke, mate, a real bonafide ferret-cocked shitbag - don't you think? No?
Funny that now the ultra-embarrassment has died down from the India series and now that SA have lost a Test - TA-DAAAA - here you are.
You have all the mental fortitude of a six year old girl.
Suck my balls, matey, suck them good Aditya Shamlalalalala.

I was also absent when we won the Cricket world cup. But do go on, no place like an anonymous forum to showcase bravery.

Ummmm, so the fact you posted in the WC QF thread but not the final means something?
I 'saw' you here on the Eng/Ind 1st Test and you quickly disappeared.... I wonder why...
Trust me that I'd say all of this in person to you, even if you were Bruce f*cking Lee... you're a f*cking shambles who cannot hack losing. A measly little crybaby who can only sing when he's winning.

Don't trust me. Maybe I'm a quivering little baby - it's absolutely of no consequence - you were nowhere to be seen whilst your team was getting dicked - fact. You're back now the dust has settled and now that SA have lost a Test - fact.
That's all here in black and white, other people can be their own judges.
Whether or not there'd be physical reprisals from big bad Aditya Shamlal is totally immaterial.

Once again, I was nowhere to be seen when we won Durban test and drew against Saffers or when we won the world cup either.
But please, don't let any of this stop you from being the internet tough guy.
