South Australian cricket
During my time of following cricket and certainly looking at the record books etc. over time, this state has seemed to underachieve in terms of producing test players, all things considered. They haven't produced many champions and increasingly their shield sides seem to be replete with guys from other states.
Take away the Chappell/Richardson family, or indeed the test captains from PAC and they haven't got much to show. You'd have to say relative to population Tassie does just as well.
Is there any reason for this? Lack of convicts? Obsession with football?. A German heritage? The Barossa Valley?
If we relied on them for our cricketers we'd probably be minnows!

Re: South Australian cricket
South Australians aren't interested in cricket. How many Flaming Bails forummers come from there?
Answer = none

I occasionally bump into her when I open my Facebook page which is about every 3 months on average.
No real change from what I can see. In and out of jobs.

Re: South Australian cricket
Addledville has more % British born population than any other other capital city or major regional centre in Oz.
What convicts or the Barossa Valley have to do with it (besides teams playing with massive hangovers first day back after the rest day in the Windy Hill-Smith days) I can't begin to imagine....
I think it's all Don Dunstan's fault.
Him and Lleyton Hewitt.
And Steve bloody Kernahan's not helping much either.

More of an emphasis on Jesus loving? Think Jesus will win them cricket matches and hence complacency sets in?
Re: South Australian cricket
The prevalence of white collar crime and serial murder in SA compared with other parts of Australia has to be involved somehow.

Hadn't considered that - but when analyzing Red's mental processes, rule nothing out.

Well get more than fourteen friends on FB and make it worthwhile.
And yes South Oz has had a bizarre crime history.

Yes, I forgot about cricketjunkie / Aquarius.
Just remembered keeper. He was very keen for a while but the lack of Sozzie success finally wore him down.

Re: South Australian cricket
Keeper never could work out how Australia could stay competitive if either Greg Blewett or Darren Lehmann, or, God save us, both, were missing from the side.
