Although the Kiwis did reject him as coach bl. Mebee if he gets the Aussie job he'll be looking for a dose of "get that up ya" when we play the Blecks.bodyline wrote:Robbie Deans? FFS as if he's going to help us win a Bledisloe!

Re: New Ozzie Rugger Coach
bl - mate - unlike any of the other candiates he has real runs on the board (excluding those made last century)
The package is rumoured at $2m. You don't think that factor alone might have him motivated for a contract extension.
Seriously, who would you have picked & why will they do a better job than Deans?

Agree Mick. When the most likely Australian candidate is a relic of the eighties its time to look offshore.

knuckles connolly ran the chronically unsuccessful qld reds for years and to my knowledge none of his teams ever won anything of consequence...the dill was made coach after years of billy carpping about state bias...
when the hideous 'parrot' was being touted as a serious Australian candidate i believe the ARU has done the right thing by going for a coach with a current successful track record

Deans hasn't been appointed yet, but I hope he will be.
If not him, then Nucifora.
The others in the field were really ony making up the numbers.
It amuses me that so many Aussie cricketers go offshore to coach, and so many national teams in soccer have foreign coaches, yet some of the rugger-bugger-wankers get all uppity about the possibility of an OS Wobbly coach. Didn't hear them getting narky about Eddie Jones coaching in Japan, or making too many noises abouthis gig with the yarpies until they started looking like winners at the World Cup.

Where have aussie coaches got us lately anyway?
We have been stuck in reverse since the 99 WC all under aussie coaches.

Part of the clever Aussie Cricket conspiracy. Export coaches with secret instructions to make sure they don't win the impotant stuff. ie anything against Australia.

Great to see a contribution from the senator around the heavenly game, but, here's the crunch. Qld really only turned to shhite when knuckles opted for the money in the UK after getting shafted (remember Greg Smith) for the Australian job. IIRC he coached them to a S12 final & a couple of other semi finals.
In the season or two prior to professional Rugby he won two titles in the precursors to the Murdoch funded product.

Fair feckin suck horrie. The S10 was the biggest thing in non-test rugby at the time.

Not my problem if you've lived in this ciuntry for as long as you say you have and you still don't know the difference between Laurie Fisher and David Nucifora. Dickhead.
Oh, and Trev, when did you stop beating yourwife boyfriend?

You live here but remain oblivious to what's going on around you. Must be nice to get away with being that ignorant.
I bet you can give chapter and verse on the EPL last weekend though.
Why don't you piss off back home? It's people like you who give millions of decent Englishmen a bad name.

Yeah, silly me. Obviously every true born and bred Aussie can name all of the super 14 coaches....and the sizes of their cocks.

Of course & out of the context of the candidates for the current job.
Just trying to address Horrie's misfiring memory.
