England v Combined Associates XI
No thread for this epic?
England ripped through the top and middle order of the Associate XI, before the tail held them up big time. Bowling to the tail remains a weakness for England. England 71/2 in reply. Cooky 44 not out, Strauss and Trott the men out. Big tour for Straussy, you feel. Needs runs.

England dropped him for fear that he would fail and that Red would give a damning verdict of his performance.

WTF?!
I believe it was something like a torn Hammy. Not a gunshot would or anything.....Although that's often how a torn hammy feels.

Combined Associates sounds like some ghastly American crew of snappily-dressed financial swindlers.
Lehman Brothers, for example.
Or a division of the World Bank.

England having problems bowling out the tail again. I can see Umar Gul smashing an 80 ball ton in the tests.

I don't think the Combined Associates team have left themselves enough time to bowl England out for the win.
(final target seems to be around 260 in 60 overs)

Moderate left arm spinner, KP hitting the attempted loft down the ground off the inside half of the bat, caught at mid on. I can SEE the dismissal so clearly in my head, even without TV coverage of this game.
