The most damning evidence of how badly India are going is the performance of Sri Lanka, who have already adjusted better to the conditions, and have looked far more positive, and frankly better.

It's not that surprising really, though, considering how their batsmen are going. They won the WC basically overpowering teams with their batting, I don't even think their bowling was top three in the WC. If the batting is failing the bowling can't dig them out of trouble.
Re: Australia v India, 10th Tri-series ODI, Sydney, 26 February, 2012
Welly well well. The Bannies are tops with the ball but again are shit with the bat. Impressive display by Aus with the ball and in the field to leave India well short of the very gettable 251.
So unless India can win by a million with a bonus point on Tuesday night, it's a Aus v SL Final series.
Congrats to Watto on securing a win with his first effort as national skipper.

And, of course, the key message here is that India are Trescothick when touring.

BanIndia as weak as gnats pee ... WC win now in the dim and distant past ...
TF the dwarf capitulated ... whinging about being "obstructed" .... I mean FFS.
Lankans for the finals win though.... they've gelled nicely as a unit.

I think Kirsten, could see this coming. There is nothing more arrogant than a subbie that has just won something.

To me it seems to have been a perfect time to leave the job.

I heard through a dubious source (friend of a friend) that Kirsten's mandate to was win the WC and get to no 1 in tests. No questions asked. Pick the veterans, get the job done and the future will take care of its self.

India continuing in their merry ways then. Top effort.
I didn't see the match and can't comment on it specifically, but as a general point, if a batsman can't run in the line of the throw, then shouldn't he get some leeway if the bowler obstructs him?

Aye, this is only my view, so shouldn't be taken as gospel. I saw Bung charge toward the ball, only to realise he wasn't the closest fielder to it, meanwhile seeing Sachin out of the corner of his eye, then stopped and stuck his arse out a little bit whilst intently looking at the ball. Think he knew Sachin was going to have to take a detour. I'm not sure what could be done, really, it's only my opinion that this was the case - I'm sure Brett could make a strong case in the other direction.
Re: Australia v India, 10th Tri-series ODI, Sydney, 26 February, 2012
He may have, his gamesmanship has been papered over in the past like his fake slides., I'd think that if one is a no go (running the line of the ball), then the other should be as well.

Re: Australia v India, 10th Tri-series ODI, Sydney, 26 February, 2012
Meanwhile, the Indian press (Here's an example) is going to town about the incidents, papering over the woeful effort by their team.
"Skipper Dhoni was livid at the post-match press-conference following India's 87-run loss, saying, "It was unfair on Sachin as he had to make that extra yard. I think umpire Billy (Bowden) should have said something because he was in a position to see where the bowler was and what happened. It was very difficult for Simon (third umpire) to take a call for he had no clue which angle the batsman was running and where Lee actually stopped."
Dhoni hinted that India's players were discriminated against when it came to such incidents."
---------------------------------
Ooh, discrimination.

Indian media in whinging shocker. The sun rises and sets, Times of India sooks about wrong decisions and forgets the woefulness. I wonder when they'll get tired of this crying.

FWIW, I thought Hussey was going to be given out, but I disagree that SRT was impeded anywhere near enough to make a difference. It was a bad run that he was always going to be struggling to make. The situation wasn't helped by GG's sniggering as TLM skulked off.

Kapil Dev would have just been having a word about his perfectly timed retirement in comparison to this.
India couldn't flog a dead horse the way they're playing.
I didn't watch the match and I can't be arsed to check the highlights of a meaningless ODI. Mine was just a general observation.

Where are your mates TO and SG these days?
Whatever they're doing, they're not making the breath taking generalizations that give me insight into race relations in your country.
