Agree, Hussey should have been given out but the Sachin business has just given the Indian press some high moral ground they think they can use rather than focus on the insipid on-field exploits. Tendulkar's run of outs must be embarrassing but he's a complete liability in the field in this form of the game. How long will this go on?

it will go on until the BCCI organise a jamodi against the Bangles or zimbots on a roady road and tendy gets his ton....then he can retire
more seriously I think this tour has tarnished tlm's reputation to some degree
only ashtray and viral tee coli have improved their reputations..
gambir has been shown to lack temperament and ability
vvs and dravid are lights of other years
seaweed should retire or be sacked
instant kharma and hardly imran were both ordinairy
Sri lanka looks a better team
few of the kids have shown much

btw I watched yesterday's insipid match....very dull cricket...the one thing I enjoyed was the great running between wickets of Wade and D Hussey
Wade continues to look the goods
Schoolgirl needs to bat down the order....has been ages since he made a decent score

It has too. In fact his recent test record as an opener has been gash yet the press seems to overlook this.
On Tendy, maybe the Indians can organise a goodwill match against Afghanistan which is the rising associate power. Haigh has been calling for us to organise a game against them to help their cause. Seems a perfect opportunity for them.

tendulkar, in 254 less innings, has scored one less hundred than the rest of the indian, lankan and kiwi sides have managed this aussie summer

On current form i still don't reckon he'd get his ton.

Agree - Hussey was out and it was astonishing that the umpires ruled in his favour.
As far as the dwarf's decision was concerned - out every time.
No way does the bowler have to move to accommodate the batsman's line of run ... and Lee, in his follow through, clearly did not move across specifically to impede the dwarf's running line. Think maybe the tiny chap made more of a meal of re-routing himself ... but ..... as they say ooop Norf .... oooonfookin'luckie.
Didn't see any sniggering though .... wtf is GG ?

skully wrote:Meanwhile, the Indian press (Here's an example) is going to town about the incidents, papering over the woeful effort by their team.
"Skipper Dhoni was livid at the post-match press-conference following India's 87-run loss, saying, "It was unfair on Sachin as he had to make that extra yard. I think umpire Billy (Bowden) should have said something because he was in a position to see where the bowler was and what happened. It was very difficult for Simon (third umpire) to take a call for he had no clue which angle the batsman was running and where Lee actually stopped."
Dhoni hinted that India's players were discriminated against when it came to such incidents."

Ooh, discrimination.
clearly we have to play on shorter pitches
