Re: Pakistan v England, 3rd T20, Abu Dhabi, 27 February, 2012
Well, I had to avoid this post thanks to the super slow telecast I get. Very good Twenty20 match, much more interesting than a 220 v 219 match. Top over from Broad, could have been even better if it weren't for Bairstow's misfield. Pietersen's innings was a different class today.Brass Monkey wrote:What a cracking finish! Aye, although what I will say is that I'd be incredibly frustrated to have Misbah in my T20 side, it's just not his game. Well not for the last couple of years at least.
As for England, well, 6-4. So basically we're brilliant. What a successful tour! **lump in throat**
I'd swap all six for even just one of the other.
Re: Pakistan v England, 3rd T20, Abu Dhabi, 27 February, 2012
To be fair to Misbah, England bowled well on a tough pitch. Nobody really had a fantastic strike rate tonight.
Rameez is always great to listen to for a sound bite. Can be a bit harsh, but brilliant nonetheless.

Furri had it spot on .... squeaky bum time those last two overs ... but hell, didn't Broadly and Dernbaccha do well - espesh the latters last ball ... slow, full length bang on the middle stump!
Once again, Huck disappointed ....
Excellent game ... England done good.

Dammit, there was a 3rd game?
Farq, i'm really out of the loop. Still, an attritional T20 game eh? Fundabbydozy.

Aye England bowled well but I reckon even on good pitches nowadays Misbah can have a tendency to bat slowly.
I like Rameez as a commentator and he seems a really decent bloke. TBH all of the Pakastani commentators have been good. They've gone to third in my 'commentator teams by country' league. A f*cking prestigious place to be, I'm sure they'll all be pleased.

Needing 23 off 18, the Wackies choked?? Oh well. weel done Engulund. Looks like a rare T20 thriller.

It was an incredibly brave ball to bowl, if it had been picked that had 'DLF MAXIMUUUUM' written all over it. Really skilful. Think he'll be an asset in SL, September.

TBF The Paks didn't choke ... England's bowlers did bowl exceptionally well under the circumstances.skully wrote:Needing 23 off 18, the Wackies choked?? Oh well. weel done Engulund. Looks like a rare T20 thriller.
The 19th (Broad's) went for 4 - a misfielded boundary through Bairstow - and a wicket.
The 20th (Dernbach) went for 5 and Misbah's crucial wicket off the last ball.

England get farked up by the quntishness of Nass and Sir Ian. Tony Cozier isn't bad.

Pity KP didn't find any form until the ODI's.
Feel sorry for the likes of Buttler, very hard to get going internationally when you are getting a game every other 3 months.

Sir Ian, yes, can't skip along the Nasser track with you though - he's a top commentator IMO. The rest I like.
I like Cozier, Holding, Dujon, Bishop - even Fazeer Mohammed.
For SA, dare I say I like Wessels. And Pollock. Donald's pretty good although he can say some strange things. Ackerman's a bit meh, bit annoying. The foreigners mainly rankle, Jackman and Haysman... I like Mbangwa though.
Re: Pakistan v England, 3rd T20, Abu Dhabi, 27 February, 2012
Cozier's son is a bag of shite though. Apart from him, the commentary team there is good.taipan wrote:England get farked up by the quntishness of Nass and Sir Ian. Tony Cozier isn't bad.

Dean du Plessis' decent as well, a blind commentator who figures out where the ball went from the sound it makes off the bat is a decent effort. Shame the rest, apart from Pommie (who's okay) are dog's bollocks.

Nah Nass would be a natural for Nein if he was Aussie.
Bumble and Gower are top class.
Wessels is a biased prick who pushes his own agenda. Jackers probably the best "we" have.Pommy is a bit meh.

Jackers seems to witter nowadays, you have to give him his time speaking, it's sort of grating on me. Don't get me started on Barry Richards.
Re: Pakistan v England, 3rd T20, Abu Dhabi, 27 February, 2012
Mike Haysman is the worst commentator going
