Iqbal Qasim back as the chief selector for Pakistan(no good)

Qasim is a nice guy but his selections were not that great.

With Whatmore about to take the coaching job it would have been better if Mohsin returned as the chief selector.

So despite arguably being the best thing to happen to Pakistani cricket for a long time coaching-wise, Mohsin is now going to be cut out of the mix completely?

Ridiculous. The players seemed to respect him highly, too. It's the sort of thing that could cause ructions in a stable camp.

Yes he played in the 87 Bangalore test match and has been a selector before.

Mohsin did really well both as a selector and as a coach. He selected batsmen like Azhar Ali and Shafiq ahead of the likes of Faisal Iqbal and Malik

Some other good selections include the recall of Taufeeq, selection of Tanvir Ahmed and Aizaz Cheema.
