what's the deal with Shiv, will he be in the test side? Is Samuels the 'weak' link in that side? If there is one at this stage.
I very much like the side though, The Bravos, Sammy, Russell, Narine. Perhaps better cohesively without Gayle?

There's also Ramnaresh Sarwan in the wings. Although he hasn't been in great domestic form.

Wow, only just saw the Weed-Milf collision. It had SRW-Dizzy written all over it. Fortunately, Milf was well braced with his knees bent, so Weed came off 2nd best, but was only winded. Excellent catch by Milf under the circumstances.

Cracking game ... poor Sammy ... thinking that he could cross the line all by himself ... great knock though ... having said that, the Aussies did bowl some absolute shite ... full tosses which had "6" written all over them ...
As for the Weed and Benny Hilf trying the 56th position of the Kama Sutra on field ... absolute disgrace .... the knee's got to come down between the crotch ... not pile driven into the chest!

I saw Sammy smashing it and thought he'd burn out quickly, what an awesome sustained attack. He's a decent captain as well and really seems to be a good bloke.

WIF,
What are the chances of Gayle coming back to the WI team soon?
He's just signed an agreement with the WICB, but with a side note. It looks like it might be soon, but not sure it will be in time for the upcoming test series.
what's the deal with Shiv, will he be in the test side? Is Samuels the 'weak' link in that side? If there is one at this stage.
Shiv will play in the tests. The selectors have decided he is too old for the ODI side and wont play in the next World Cup. Shiv was most miffed about this and lambasted them in a radio interview. Of course, he wasn't ostracised for that. It shows the inconsitancy of the WICB as Shiv isn't a big player in the WIPA, but Gayle is.
Samuels has become the weak link. He looked so good on his return to the side but he looks in dreadful touch. I also detest his bowling action. If Gayle comes back we will have no need for Samuels darts anyway.
We shall see what effect Gayle has on the rest of the team if/when he does come back. I would have thought the presence of a World Class match winner in a side very short on top order performances would make a huge difference to their morale.

Gayle and Sammy don't get on, do they? I think if not there could be a bit of an atmosphere going on.
Re: West Indies v Australia, 5th ODI, Gros Islet, 25 March, 2012
They always used to get on. But Gayle is a WIPA man and Sammy is in WICB's pocket so they will always have their differences.
I think the current management is strong enough to drop Gayle if they do feel he is disrupting the team in any way. Otis doesn't take s**t from anyone.

Aye, anything to at least get Gayle in the team and see how it goes. As you said, an exciting team to watch.

Thanks WIF! Happy to hear Shiv will be back. He's one of my favourites.
If Gayle comes in for Samuels in the short formats, that would be delicious.
I like Sarwan too but this side looks fine as is.
