Re: Beautiful Weather in Blighty :)
Will this Olympics have the first Decathlon winner decided by the Duckworth Lewis System?

Re: Beautiful Weather in Blighty :)
I remember Dello posting a celeb voice-over by Telly Savalas praising Birmingham back in the C4 days. Farked if I can find it on t'Interweb but. It is referenced a few times but can't find the actual clip.Brass Monkey wrote:Birmingham's a f*cking funny place.... I've spent a shitload of time there - I sort of lived there for a good six months. I like it though, it's a slagheap. A proper mashup. But the accent is comical and they know it. I don't think I could take a bit of bad news there without feeling like I was going to laugh about it. That is all.

I want to live in Birmingham, it has a rag market, I was in crafty heaven. And it has an H&M. Die happy.

My tinpot town, which even has the gall to call itself a "city" does not have H&M. :'(

Well, H&M is pants anyway. Charity shops are where it's at. For womens anyway. Blokes have a choice of a medium sized 1982 stonewashed demin jacket and a jizz-stained pair of gun metal grey trousers.
Re: Beautiful Weather in Blighty :)
The trick is to take the trousers off before you start.
Charity shops here = primarni clothes at primarni prices with a slight markup, as they come pre-shrunk/misshapen/bobbly.

No, I never had them on.
Nothing good in charity shops? The womens I know get all sorts in there - all sorts - Topshop, Roxy, Republic... I think the old shoppies don't know WTF they've got.

That's just what they tell you, when you ask how much it cost.

You know, that's a damn good point - I'm going to start asking for receipts. I've been hoodwinked. Hoodwinked I tell ya! Can't believe I fell for the old switcheroo.

Heaving down in Spivtown as we speak. One of them late evening bombers after a hot humid day affairs. All good for the lawn and garden.
