Not up to your usual wind up form today skully.
For the record, I have never denied the "bad things happen" quote and have never sought to take it back. You are the one who keeps bringing it up but it has never been clear to me what the problem with it is.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (V)
You know full well that it was a ridiculous effort on your part to compare the apprentice deaths in the Pink Batt scheme (due to non-existent regulations allowing dodgy fly-by-night companies to spring up, due to the ridiculous haste at which the Pinkos through money around - cue MS's arguments re: the need for haste) to deaths in Wars or even during the Harbour Bridge construction (a time of non-existent OHS laws). If you wish to stand by the validity of the comparison, you continue to make a pink goose of yourself.
Mate, I didn't play any man from the moment I arrived today. You were bluing with bl but decided to have a shot at me. I don't give a rats, but don't then play the "you Tories" line and get all sooky.
Must try harder, mate.

According to a news reporter I heard on the radio this morning who was standing next to the woman - she didn't call Juliar white trash - she said to Juliar (on the basis that the PM wasn't answering her) that the her and her son were not white trash.
As for the rest of your comments - nice try.

Endearing herself to the working class as usual. Perhaps she can throw some money at her and hope she goes away.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (V)
THE carbon tax is already starting to hit locals in the hip pocket with trips to the tip now costing up to 55 per cent more.
Brisbane City Council finance chairman Julian Simmonds has slammed the Federal Government for forcing the price hike, despite several emission reduction plans being introduced in tips across the Brisbane region.
Dumping sites including the Chandler Transfer Station have implemented methane gas capture systems to bring the sites up to the world-best standards in terms of carbon emissions.
That hasn't stopped the Federal Government from charging BCC $22 a tonne for rubbish dumped in council landfills as part of its carbon tax, a slug it has no choice but to pass on to residents.
The cost to dump 0.1 tonne of waste has risen from $9.50 to $12.15 with $2.20 or 23 per cent of that directly attributed to the carbon tax.
Heavy loads of 0.5 tonne have risen from $19.70 to a staggering $31.60, up about $11 or 55 per cent because of the carbon tax.
It is a situation that has infuriated Cr Simmonds.
"We've gone above and beyond to offset the emissions from our landfills, vehicle fleets and electricity purchases and ratepayers shouldn't be slugged with Labor's carbon tax," Cr Simmonds said.
"Residents will still be able to use their free tip vouchers without extra charge, but unfortunately we'll have to pass the Federal Labor Government's carbon tax on to anyone else who comes through the gate."
Ratepayers receive 10 free dump vouchers a year while renters can request the vouchers from their rental managers.

The federal government's leading employment index has dropped for a seventh consecutive month, confirming jobs growth will be slower than its long-term trend.
The federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations indicator of employment fell by a further 0.054 index points in July to minus 0.205 points.
"The indicator is providing a confirmed signal that employment would grow more slowly than its revised long-term trend rate of 1.8 per cent per annum in coming months," the department said on Wednesday.
The leading jobs indicator anticipates movements in the growth cycle of employment, with a turning point confirmed after six consecutive monthly moves in the same direction.

The indicator has four weighted components: ANZ Newspaper Job Advertisements, Dun and Bradstreet Employment Expectations, the Westpac-Melbourne Institute Leading Index of Economic Activity and the Westpac-Melbourne Institute Consumer Sentiment Index.
Official labour force data for June will be released on Thursday.
Economists expect the number of people employed in June will be unchanged from May, but forecast the jobless rate jumping to 5.2 per cent from 5.1 per cent.

So instead of polluting the air, Aussies will now just pollute the landscape as high tip costs lead to an increase in rubbish dumping.

Not to mention an increase in council rates.

There was no spike in the per instalation death rate. Another of Gloria's myths, or was it Bolt or did they scream it together?

More warnings to the Pinkos to jettison Greens
"FORMER ALP president Warren Mundine has called on the Gillard government to bypass the Greens and convene an emergency meeting with Tony Abbott's Coalition on indigenous jobs.
The indigenous leader is the latest Labor figure to enter the political row over the Greens, arguing that the minority party cannot be trusted to advance Aboriginal rights and wealth creation (Oz).
Former Greens leader Bob Brown has weighed into the current fray between the two parties (Age) as veteran election analyst Malcolm Mackerras said Labor must make an enemy of the leftist party if it wants to win seats at the next election (Oz)."
----------------------------------------
Oh dear Joolair, decisions, decision, decisions. Oh wait... you don't need to, you can just blame Abbott.
