Doomsday group building bunker

"A 2012 doomsday group is charging $5000 for admission to a survival bunker in the northern NSW hills.

Massive earthquakes, shifts in the Earth's poles and devastating solar flares will be among events faced by the global community this year, according to the group, which describes itself as a "survival community".

Oh dear. I think I'd rather get vaporised by an asteroid than spend God-knows-how-long locked up with a bunch of nutbags in a sealed bunker in a Dubber one-horse-town.

I'm sure it's not a one-horse town. I believe they had/have a saddler.

These 'survivalists', their underground bunkers, and their plans to go underground when 'massive earthquakes' come. Does anyone else besides me see the flaw in willingly entombing yourself as protection against an earthquake?

I think I'd rather die in a solar apocalypse than be trapped underground with a bunch of smelly hippies reciting 16th century poetry. So, erm, no ta.

There's reason why they'd go underground in Tenterfield in the warmer months.

I'd risk the earthquake to avoid the flies.
