Queen's Birthday long weekend coming up this weekend in Dubbertown. Excellent. Will be scooting up the the mid north coast for some celebrations. The Chief's birthday always coincides with this weekend, and we have very much toasted her ticking off a way more milestones than we expected. May she continue to keep beating the ever shortening non-survival odds.

Cheers guys. I'm obviously praying that the remarkable woman continues to amaze her oncologist. He calls her his star patient with a bewildered shake of the head. The down side for the Chief is that she has made a lot of friends in the 7 years she's been on permanent weekly chemo, but has seen many no longer showing up for a chat while on the rat poison bag, because their disease got them. It scares the tripe out of her but possibly makes her fight that much harder.

hmmmn...having dinner with a woman friend tonight who continues to win her battle with cancer...I think she has scared the big C into submission
