South African domestic season 2012-2013
Seems like every second 'Sunfoil Series' first class match is getting washed out? It it typical to have this match rain at this time of year?

No, but has been known to happen before.

Has affected CL as well. Not the greatest climate!

Red, have you been to Cape Town between January and March? Best weather I've ever experienced.

In 2008 I was in CT during their summer. A cricket season starts a bit earlier though.
Kwa-Zulu Natal seems to be throwing up some ghastly weather.

Means most of the Saffies will be undercooked for the Aus tour.

Judging by their away record compared to their home record over the last few years, I'd say they play better when undercooked. Perhaps they should abolish warm up games altogether?

Another four day game abandoned. Think that's the second for the Knights in a row. Maybe they should move to England for some better weather.

Jeez... Red is having to delve deep for the low blows now.

Between the weather and the cost of health care it's a wonder the saffies have anyone left who hasn't seen the light and gone to the mother country for a better life
and the chance to win something

Good point. It's like a human version of the Noah's Ark story. Surreal, sad and just a little bit too far fetched. I mean, I've never been there. 'South Africa' could be some f*cked up nickname for Bognor Regis for all I know.

Re: South African domestic season 2012-2013
I noticed that Obus Pienaar who has turned him some smashing performances at times cracked another ton in much better than even time today in a one dayer, even if it was in their crap division. Broke all sorts of record in Ireland.
And then the cricket in Chatsworth wherever that is, was washed out yet again. That is one waterlogged place.

OK, not Saffie but this must be one of the more bizarre FC matches ever played...

Aye, maybe just that there are really only two of three international quality players there for the mid west. Waller and Taylor are easily their best along with Sibanda, and wtf is Mluleki Nkala still doing playing cricket?

I really don't see the problem with this. Zimbo are trying to revive the game.

Ntini looks like getting appointed as a selector as they want a black one as part of transformation.

Ntini?? FFS. The man is clueless. His comments regarding Tsolekile a few weeks ago should have alerted people that he's not fit to be a selector.
Sometimes I'm amazed that South Africa is still able to be as good as they are despite all the crap that goes on behind the scenes.

Re: South African domestic season 2012-2013
Backroom shenanigans and politics happen in all national set ups doesn't?
Aussies are ranting over Inverarity/Hilditch and Poms are promoting useless spinners whilst reminiscing of the good ol' days of Fletcher. Sub-continent...well we know all about them.
Seems omnipresent.
