Bangladeshi Domestic Season 2012/13
Ziaur Rahman hit 15 sixes in a score of 152 not out on 27 December. He just missed the record of 16 in an innings held jointly by Symonds, Napier & Ryder.
Andrew Symonds?
Jesse Ryder?
Hang on. I'm seeing a pattern here. Does Graham Napier also have a reputation for getting on the turps?

The big news today has been the unbroken 5th wicket partnership of 472 between Marshall Ayub & Mehrab Hossain Junior of Central Zone. Double centuries to both gentlemen.

I find it hard enough to get enamoured by my own country's domestic T20 competition, let alone some chump's version.

Owais Shah anger at lack of BPL payment
Mohammad Isam, ESPN - January 30, 2013
The issue of player payments at the Bangladesh Premier League has cropped up again this year after Owais Shah complained he hasn't yet received the first instalment (25 percent) of his $75,000 paycheck.
Shah, who plays for Dhaka Gladiators, received the remittance slip from the BCB but the amount hasn't been credited into his account. ...
"I have received the remittance slip via email but nothing has arrived in the last four days," Shah said. "I don't know where the money is, and it is a pretty embarrassing situation." ...
FFS, what part of "RIP OFF" does he not understand?
(tbf, it seems to be something to do with endless contractual delays.
The peanuts will quite possibly be shelled out in due course.)

Isn't one of the main requirements for a nation to hold ICC full membership status the ability to financially cover all player payments for both domestic and international cricket?
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka don't seem to be able to do that at the moment.

The BCCI doesn't pay foreign players because they are disorganised and stingy. But in this case I genuinely wonder if the Bangladesh Cricket Board has the money.

Apparently Shah gave them the wrong account number. Bozo.
Central Zone 277 all out in the final. Maybe their arch-rivals North Zone will finally triumph? They are 135/3 currently and with 4 Islam's in their team it seems they have God on their side too.
