So, the latest sheep gadget
Apple i-Tampon mini
"Apple sent out invitations for an event Tuesday in San Jose, California, keeping details under wraps as it normally does, saying only: "We've got a little more to show you."
Reports have been swirling for months about the "iPad Mini," but Apple has made no comment.
But blogs which closely monitor Apple say the new tablet could be priced from $US249 ($A242) to $US399 ($A388), which could pressure rivals such as the Amazon Kindle Fire."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I guess many of you will go for a matching set of an i-Fone 5, and i-Tampon mini, and an i-Tampon??
So does the mini do a little more than the Fone and a little less than the maxi Tampon. But is it as absorbent?

No. In this context its a synonym for being able to see through the i-gen hype.

I am a Luddite although I use an iPhone AND an iMac AND an iPad.
I suspect I am aware of about 15% of their capacity.

Meanwhile, the sheep are getting restless
"The fanfare of Apple's announcement of two new iPads Tuesday quickly gave way to backlash from consumers who say the short life span of Apple products is becoming wearisome -- and expensive.
...
CouponCodes4u, a coupon website that frequently polls consumers, found that the majority of owners of the suddenly old tablet -- 83 percent -- felt "cheated" by the iPad 4 announcement.
But on Wednesday, analysts had one message for annoyed Apple customers: Get over it. "I don't think they (Apple) owe people anything," said Stephen Baker, vice president of industry analysis at NPD Group."
---------------------------------------
Poor i-Geners shitty that they don't have the latest and greatest when Apple brings a new model out. How farkin stoopid can these sheep be??

Finally the fools are kicking up a fuss about planned obsolescence eh? As if they won't buy it anyway. They have to.

I can't believe it's taken this long. The mindless drones queue up for days to pay $1,000 for something that will be replaced by an upgraded model only a year later. More money than sense. Baaaaaaaaaaaaa.

They complained when Apple slowly staggered their supply or their product releases in the past.
Then when Apple changes its model to churning out product after product the sheep are still unhappy.
FTR my house is full of Apple products. Love it!

This is really unfair of Apple. They should only release new products every three years to give their competitors a chance to bypass them.

Re: So, the latest sheep gadget
I have absolutely no beef with folk loving their Apple products, but...
a) Please don't tell me I HAVE to have one
b) Please don't whinge when your current model becomes predictably obsolete a year later
c) Please don't wave them about and talk loudly about them as if they are the elixir of life, and that you couldn't survive without them.

Re: So, the latest sheep gadget
I haven't got an acerbic vendetta against Apple, as skully has, but I won't ever buy a product of theirs. They seem to be flawed in ways that just don't smack you in the face, but when you f*ck around on a different device it all becomes clear. Their OS is wank, and most likely always will be.
Not bad at producing music though, but I wouldn't see the need to pants it getting one, just for an iota or so of improved sound flexibility.
