Yep, I see to recall you saying the same thing on the last tour. In fact I think you started a whole thread about how overrated Steyn was.
Zing! All 'credibility' shot down.
Re: Australia A v South Africa at the SCG, November 2-4
Smith retired on 60. Now i know they are taking the piss.
Re: Australia A v South Africa at the SCG, November 2-4
Apart from Hastings & maybe Denial, the OZ A attack looks pretty toothless.
Re: Australia A v South Africa at the SCG, November 2-4
So Saffers giving this team about as much respect as the selectors did.

Looks like SA attack doesn't have the sting in it we may have thought.
JGK must have Aussiesg favourites now.

Well you yourself said Philander was pox before he'd played a test.

So apparently you didn't bag Philander.
Anyway all I have said, along with Skully is that Vernon's bubble might be about to burst in Aussie conditions. What's wrong with that?

The CA website is showing Saf at 1 down even though Smith retired.

Does Smith retiring his innings mean he's considered 'out' in the book? Or does his score get marked down as 60 not out?

Looks like Amla has retired as well. They really shouldn't be treating a first class match this way.

And now:
Over 67.5: McDonald to de Villiers, FOUR, DROPPED, outside edge ! goes past the keeper and the slips and to the fence!

Fark me, we are so going to get smashed. Will we win a session?
Yesterday put a lobster on the Saffers to win the series @ $2.40, today it's $2.15...

Is there any reason why this test is starting on a Friday rather than the traditional Thursday?

CA coariab.
Maybe it was to give the T20CL teams enough time to get back to Oz and still play a full round of Shield and have enough of a gap to Day 1.

I thought Friday was the more traditional opening day and Thursday was a bit of a modern twist? But in this case it may be a case of scheduling difficulties.

Wonder if Doolan would be called up if they needed cover for Punter's sore hammy.
Philander took a 5fer in his last test and yet you're writing him off after one tour match......

Well they all came to the party at Perth when it REALLY mattered. Before Perth everyone (including Red) was talking it up as a huge match, and the Saffie bowling attack delivered. Steyn's ball to Clarke in the first innings at Perth was the ball of the Summer.
